**If you'd like to skip to the exact start of the trip, read below (-----)** Bio: M Ag.20 Prevsychedelic Exp (LSD-25, Psilocybin Mushrooms, MDMA, LSA, DXM, Marijuana) Set/Setting: Condo (home), Great even mood for over a month Jan.13th at approximinently 2:00pm, I found a special letter with the majestic extract of DMT packaged discreetly inside after an 8 hour shift of work. I had tried the drug once before about a year back with no results (took too small a portion or inhaled incorrectly, or likely both ) From everything I've read I reached a moderate level of high as I don't believe I broke through. First I packed the bowl with a very small amount of marijuana to make sure the DMT wouldn't fall, but that it'd nearly make up the entire base. I was surprised to see how hard it would be to weigh this substance, it was much less like a powder than I would have imagined, and more like a small amount of flower that is damp with water and a small yellow tint. I then continued to pile a bit more marijuana, this time putting a bit more in to prevent roasting the DMT. --------- There I was, sitting on the couch with the pipe filled with a mixture of an Indica strain Marijuana and ~50 mg of N, N DMT. I took one toke, first impressions made me feel a bit high, I coughed very hard nearly 3 seconds after inhaling, to quickly go for a second toke. I was able to hold this breath in a while longer while I then noticed the pipe transform into an animated design almost fire like, realizing I was entering the experience. I went for a third toke, the bowl was about gone, and could hardly take it and placed the pipe on the desk nearby to find myself in a very very strong body high. First effects were very uncomfortable, I felt my chest compressing almost as if I were deathly ill from intoxication. I immediately felt like I were tripping on a ten strip of acid (an experience I once had ~2 years back). I immediately told myself "remember this is a different drug, and the experience will be of unknown waters, just relax and know you will come down no matter what". This sort of comforted me as I sank into the couch in the deepest meditative state I could imagine within only seconds. My eyes open, I see an array of colors circling around flower designs embossed on the radiator, A painting of a Japanese sail boat shimmer in vibrant red, blue, and green above the sea, and my eclectic guitar dangle in every which direction in a spiraling effect. This was amazing, but at the time was accompanied with an uncomfortable feeling of nausea and dry mouth. I went to close my eyes to experience a spiraling effect of multitudes of colors of various objects that would wrap around in 3 dimensions and zoomed in to continue this pattern. I then felt an experience that happened a couple of times in this trip, which involved a sensation of a rippling effect swipe over my body in roughly 5 ripples. I then visualized a kaleidoscope effect that felt very high-dimensional in crystal clear image of fast changing scenes. I thought to myself, "how do people do this? I will never try this again (in fear)" I also felt like it was like watching a 3D indie movie in your head. What a weird idea to be experiencing your own imagination and not even know what's going to happen next. I also witnessed what I believe to be Chinese people lifting yoga balls or something above their heads and moving in a synchronized motion, while my vision put this in each section of a kaleidoscope mirror as they spiraled around. (I was in China over the summer of last year) Feeling strange, I open my eyes and watch my cat in a stretching position with his hair flying in a wavy effect in every direction. I almost can no longer associate which body part I am moving and I feel a spiraling effect as almost if I were an octopus with many tentacles. I then try to talk to myself "Remember why you're doing this, just try and enjoy the experience" Very soon this had taken away the feeling of being ill and I lay down and explore more of the open eyed visuals. This wine glass my roommate and I were were putting string lights into appeared like growing vines or a magic bean my guitar still kind of freaked me out with how powerfully strong the hallucinations were. The radiators design had an effect of colors that made me feel like I was back in a previous mushroom trip I had with my ex-gf that made me feel very intense. This was one of the first of many memories I would face during this trip. I then looked over to my cat seeing him lay next to me, like we were spooning, and he was looking in the distance and rapidly moving his head as if he were paranoid, and I was scared that he perhaps inhaled some of the vapor and him being of a smaller proportion could have tripped a bit on the drug. That made me feel guilty of not being more responsible and I get up to place him in the other room. I thought to myself, "why haven't I played music to this trip yet?" So I turned my iPad on to play some Radiohead songs I had covered live just nights before. So it was like experiencing what I had played recently and the emotions with it. The track lists on spotify had a magnifying effect that showed many reflections of the names that very much reminded me of my acid experience. Right at this point the rest of the trip felt much more comfortable and profound. I closed my eyes to experience strong visuals that weren't quite as intense to the ones prior. But then I thought to meditate and took a very slow breath. This had increased my effects dramatically and I experienced the rippling effect once more while I felt my body almost up lifting. My head felt heavy and too energetic. I then reminded myself of my mediation practices to picture a strong calming white light then to have it glide over your whole body. Then I felt my whole body lifting, tried to feel my astral arms and to picture a rope that I could grab to lift out of my body. While doing so I focused my consciousness to my pineal gland. An experience I had never encountered then happened, vividly picturing a strong light similar to a UFO's suction beam appeared as I felt I was almost being transported up and away from my body. I then opened my eyes once more. This seemed to be the part in the trip that I felt like I was overcoming all the stress in my life by thinking of each scenario that was on my mind and come to acceptance of it. I thought about my past relationship which was hard as she was my first love, and thought 'appreciate the experience for what it was, and continue to live knowing you'll share that feeling again'. I thought about the fun responsibility I have by taking care of a cat, the path in life I am new with a fun place downtown, a new job, just played a concert for the first time, I really appreciated where I was going. This ended up being a very uplifting experience. And as I thought of these memories over, I highly visualized these memories that felt completely real. Almost felt like a documentary lol The intensity of the trip I find hard to describe. I don't think I blasted off as I still wish to experience. So I believe I will once again try this substance and hopefully write about it then ;p
Quality Trip Report! That's good that you were able to adjust from the initial uncomfortable feelings, DMT often comes on extremely forecefully. That meditative experience at the end sounds intense. Good you had some worthwhile realizations in the reflectionary period too. This aspect of DMT is one of the reasons I am open to something going on beyond the projecting of one's own subconscious type of view of the psychedelic experience. There seems to be a automated level of consciousness as to where visuals in particular, explode at a hyper pace to where the thinking mind doesn't have an opportunity to adjust and think or narrate the trip.
Beautiful report about a beautiful substance. Nothing like a little spice in your life. If you have the means, I would recommend acquiring hash oil in which to place the spice. Talk about the blast off of a lifetime, or a thousand....
amazing report. nothing like the dmt ascendance into true reality. anyone who can put me onto more like mknded dmt users in the uk please let me know?
very descriptive report. i have never been able to describe my DMT trips in such detail. radiohead was playing the first time i smoked DMT i think it was All in Need. i thought the song went well with the experience. but with a stronger DMT trip, or more intense music...i might prefer silence.
edit: I skipped over the first paragraph. I asked if you "broke through" but you said you don't think you did. Thanks for sharing your experience.
