That happens to me every night. 2am has become my new bedtime. I have 22 more minutes before I put my phone down and try to fall asleep.
It depends on what time of night it is. I might take a bath or shower...or do yoga/meditate...or make food & eat...or go outside...or read/write...or get on the computer...or watch TV...or drink tea. It kind of depends on rather I think I'm likely to get to sleep if I do this...or that...or if I'd rather stay up because it's almost time for me to be up anyway. Like right now it's 4:45am and I was feeling pretty sick and don't want to eat anything, so I drank some tea, and contemplated writing, but instead got on the computer. I'll probably turn the TV on soon or take a shower or drink more tea, since I still feel not great.
I couldn't sleep last night either. Woke up 3am, didn't really sleep at all after. Must be some sort of cosmic disturbance... :-/ Or I'm feeling guilty about something but can't remember what it was... Hmm.
have a couple drink or if i really want to fall asleep i will turn to shots as a last resort. i try masturbating sometimes just because that rumor that men sleep after but it never honestly seems to make a difference to me.
I often lie awake contemplating the impossibility of both a bounded and and infinite universe. I will sometimes softly strum my guitar. Never you mind...
Same with weed, for me. Sometimes I can smoke a bowl and pass out 10 minutes later, other times I smoke and I'm wide awake with my mind racing for an hour or two. Same strain of weed can do both, depends on... something else, I guess, haha.
Sometimes I'll just drink some coffee or take something else to help keep me awake to the next day. Sometimes that's easier than lying awake for hours and then having to try and wake up without getting much sleep.
Not sure if you went through with it but I'll admit I was slightly exaggerating when I said that.... I usually hit myself unconscious by smoking a J as well. If you carried it out anyway I would like to know if it helped though! :mickey:
im still awake from yesterday. i think i will just get as much sleep as i can then take some hardcore caffeine to work...tgif
Yeah, I am up until at least 4, anyway...It has just become that way. Watched something until 5 am last night, and finally fell asleep. My pug, Gali, has whooping cough and is vomiting after each cough attack. He did that all night last night, so I was up being nurse to him. After a trip to the vets this morning, he will be on penicillan for the next 2 weeks and no jogging for him.
I'll take a 5htp, melatonin and a valerian root pill and then go sit on the back porch and quietly and poorly play my tin whistle until I get tired and then go back to bed.
Couldn't find a big enough stick  Perhaps someone can recommend some good youtube documentaries for me? I ended up watching 'Beauty and the Geek Australia' last night :S
Watch Bab'aziz. I watched it full length when I was awake and actually did not want to sleep. I liked it. Now I watch it sometimes at night because it calms me down. My brain is usually still running full speed at night. Edit: I can't tell if youtube still has a full length version with English subtitles still. I can't play the videos from the link below on my phone. Here is a Google search linkhttp://www.google.com/search?site=&source=hp&ei=T8n1UrClIeHu2wXBpoCYDQ&q=bab%27aziz+youtube+full&oq=bab%27aziz+youtube+full&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.12...12400.17481.0.18901.14.14.0.1.1.0.473.3863.0j2j7j3j2.14.12490....0...1c.1j5.34.mobile-gws-hp..3.11.2669.1Nb7Ve7i37I I'm not sure which one has subtitles - I can't play it on my phone to figure out which ones do. At night I don't pay attention to the words much anyway. None of the youtube vids work work on my tv unless I use chromecast, they just freeze up. I had to download with realplayer and make a dvd to watch with dvd player.
