Well, if u look at my post, I think it killed one of my friends. And virtually killed ie so far narrowly missed killing another.
i've never seen a para, but i know normality is a complete myth. i've had a few odd things happen in my life though. doors in walls where they seemed out of place to begin with, that absolutely could never have been there the next day. and no, i wan't 'on' anything, except maybe fatigue. whole major towns dissapearing in the nevada desert in the middle of the night. a secret grave i had no idea was there when i too a picture of it, but which showed up quite clearly when i developed it. a place where containers (you know those truck bodies without the wheels on them, that go on trains and truck and ships) were transfered between simis-and ufos, out in the middle of the desert (not on a military base or any sign of restriction or don't go there. camped out there and woke up in the middle of the night, the truckers and the space truckers we're taking a little break and had 'em a little campfire goin' there and we all had coffee togather. nothing para, just not what most people would call normal either i guess.
I read so many books about demonology and possession. And pretty much everything by Gabriel Amorth, who is the official exorcist in Vatican. Of course it exists within the Church, the Church is well aware and recognizes all these paranormal occurrences. I've met an exorcist myself. It just makes me feel uneasy. Actually, I could say more about it, but prefer not to do so on Hipforums.
I'd like to hear what you have to say, but I understand if you aren't comfortable. I was extremely terrified of possession as a young child. My friend is a non-denominational Christian and won't even acknowledge that anything paranormal might exist. When I've been to church with her they have always been very careful about that subject. They really deny it, strongly. The sort of church who won't let children read Harry Potter. I didn't know if you had similar beliefs.
I guess you could say that I have had "paranormal experiences". I remember looking down the street in a small town once I used to work at. I saw what looked like a cloth hanging off one of the poles holding a light on the street. I pointed it out to my buddies im saying "hey, how did that get up there!". As we got closer we realized it was the effect of the trees shading out certain areas of the moon at our angle of vision. It made it look like someone had thrown some cloth material on top of the pole. Another time I was playing this video game in my front porch all by myself, the game itself happened to be one of those paranormal/haunting video games. Then the light in the next room began flickering. Twas creepy, but I went over there to see what was up and the problem was the lightbulb wasnt screwed in real tight, on top of the fact that it was a lamp and a fan at the same time made the whole thing shake a bit. As a child I remember having problems dealing with these really really odd sound effects that would kinda sound almost like footsteps walking closer and closer to me as I took a nap on the couch. I would always forget that the couch is where I would hear the sounds, and just take a nap there anyway. I would be so scared that I wouldnt even get up to go to the restroom or get a drink of water. Would just wait till parents got home. Even though there was still sunlight and all I would stay put in that couch with my eyes closed. One day I decided to ask my dad what the noises were, he told me it was the furnace in the cellar. It made sense... It was a real old-fashioned antique furnace. And anytime it turned on it made those sounds. So eventually the noise quit bothering me because it was now the furnace that was making those noises. Ive also got together with friends and used a ouija board. We would ask the spirits questions and stuff.... We got some conversations going on with them through the board. Everyone was all going, "OMG this is sooo freaky!!". I was maybe 8-10 years old, and I would be with my sis, bro few other freinds all around 8-12 years old. I remember just telling them all, "You guys are pushing it... thats why its making those words". So the ouija board after hearing about it for the first time thrilled me and all I was thinking "wow! I can talk to spirits I gotta see this!" But then I saw everyone put there hands on it, and all the thrill and suspense left me. Can we call these paranormal experiences? Im not sure if paranormal experience always means that the laws of physics have been broken. Ive never experienced anything like ghosts or appirations popping out of nowhere. Never seen or communicated with spirits at the level a lot of people describe. Everything I have experienced so far in my life has all stayed within the limits of what is "normal".
I would like to add just a little to the discussion; but right now just take a "rain check" for adding onto the paranormal stories. I grew up in a haunted house... They have settled down significantly, only after: me learning how to deal with them. That's my theory anyway. :2thumbsup: I'm sure you've seen a lot, and know even more. :sultan: ^ Truer words never spoken. ^ In order to fight a foe, would one not need to have some knowledge of it? I would say that evil is aware of one who is in the light, but with knowledge to vanquish it...for sure.
Okay, I'm not going to get into huge detail because this still REALLY freaks me out. But when I was a kid...maybe about 10-14 years of age, my friends and I used to have sleepovers and try to put each other in trances... I don't even remember exactly how we did it-rubbing each others temples and counting and clearing our minds and then someone would ask a question like - "is anyone there?" then "who are you?" etc.-- and we would talk but try not to think of what we would say and I had this person come to me various times called "Bullock"- it was an old man... and I saw these terrifying scenarios of this old, skinny man in a small cabin in the woods with these two kids who I think were his grandkids...a young girl and a young boy. And the girl and boy were murdered and we were trying to figure out if this Bullock person did it or not. The thing is, it seemed so real but also from a long time ago and every time we would go back to this everyone would get so scared, including me. I think maybe it was just a bunch of kids just pretending... but at the same time there was something really creepy about it that gave me chills and made me cold every time. Simply for that feeling it gave me I hate to even think about this really...because even if none of this was real something about it seemed very, very real. I really hated all those games the kids I knew used to play...that, plus the stupid bloody mary game in the mirror and Ouija boards...
I once worked late night security at an urban construction site where they were building new upscale apartments. I had an incident happen on 2 different nights. The first alert I had was a beat-up old radio turn on all by itself in the middle of the night. It was blaring old style Mexican fanfare music. After a complete look-around, I found no intruders, then I unplugged the radio, I just assumed it was an electrical short in the radio because it looked heavily abused by weather and misuse. A month later, on Halloween of all nights, I was patrolling the same grounds inside one of the buildings. I heard the sound of a radio turn on, blaring the SAME old style Mexican fanfare music. I thought it was the same thing, but I yelled for whoever it was who turned on the radio to exit the property or get put in hand-cuffs. I realized I left my cell phone in the car, so I ran back to my car so I could call the police in case there was someone trespassing. I got my phone and sprinted back to the building. I was listening for the radio, walking the hallways cautiously in case I got jumped. I was walking toward where the sound was coming from. And then the radio turned off! I was freaking out. I quickly got out of that building and radioed my supervisor to let him know what happened. I'm convinced that place is haunted. My co-workers have said that they've also heard creepy sounds in that building as well, others didn't believe me. I've gone back in since then and I've heard voices murmuring in the dark. Even though most will say it's unlikely to be haunted because it's a brand new project being built on a land where no building existed before, I'm convinced it is. Construction companies are known to find ancient native artifacts when they excavate the land and keep it secret. Because they don't want to lose all that potential money to a heritage protection organization who will takeover their property, halt the construction, and give them nothing in return. My guess is that it was a native burial ground, or a location of an Indian battle. To this day, I refer to this incident as the Phantom Radio
Thats interesting. Im guessing the radio itself isn't something to be afraid of. Some people believe that using things that pick up electromagnetic waves is a way of identifying paranormal activity. And a broken radio im guessing could do just that.
Some spirits communicate by piggybacking on radio waves in a vain attempt to converse with the living – it might be received over the radio as static Hotwater
Last week I was making coffee in the morning. I turned on the faucet and was letting it run for a bit. Then I went back to the coffee machine. Suddenly I noticed it was silent. I walked over to the faucet to inspect it, and it was turned completely off! It was as though someone had turned it off.
Yea, I was thinking about spirits and electromagnetic waves mainly because I saw these ghost hunters using electromagnetic detectors to look for ghosts on TV. I also was really thinking of a video game I played called Silent Hill where you pretty much always carry around a broken radio so that you can know if evil creatures are nearby because if they are nearby you your broken radio gives off static. Not trying to screw up this whole conversation by throwing a fictional game out there. Just saying, that broken radio idea I saw in the game must have probably been out there for awhile, which is interesting for me because it was the first time I was introduced to that concept.
The odd thing was that my shift relief officer and I looked around for the radio from which the sounds came from once he came in. But we never found it.
As a child, I vividly pictured this young boy in a blue transparent haze that would appear in the late night. I can still remember his brown curly hair, almost angel like appearance
I've seen a few odd things that I wasn't sure what they were but never anything like transparent people or anything. I should say that I don't believe in demons, demonic possession, inherent evil, etc.....not even a little, tiny bit. But that doesn't mean that there aren't "ghosts" or spirits and that sort of thing. Where I live there are 3 houses sitting close to each other. Mine, a large one to the south of mine and another to the east of that house. People in both of the other houses swear that they are haunted and claim to see the same ghosts all the time. There is supposedly an old man in the house to the east who told them it was his house because he built it but they can live there. The people in the house to the south of me say there are all sorts of ghosts passing through the house all the time and they think it is some sort of spirit porthole to wherever. Who knows? I have only been upstairs in that house once and I must admit....I did not feel comfortable there at all. I can't really describe it but it's just not a place you want to be. Coincidentally, that house used to be a brothel years ago. I've always thought there was something strange about my house too...from the day I moved in. Just a vibe like something is there but not like the vibe next door. The old man next door has been there forever and once told me that everyone who has lived here since he's been around got divorced or suffered some sort of other tragedy. I sometimes wake up to strange noises and once I saw a rocker chair in the basement that appeared to be moving with nobody down there besides me. And, as it turned out, my first wife and I lived here and got divorced. I moved out but got the house and eventually moved back with my current wife a number of years later. I don't blame the house at all though. But just to be safe...after I moved back, I was home alone and sensed that presence. I said out loud "Look....I have to be here because I bought the place and need a place to live. If you were here first, I didn't know. But it's totally fine with me if we can agree to coexist." Maybe it made a difference, maybe not but everything has been fine. And if the house next door really is a porthole and there really is a spirit in my house then it might be beneficial to me because maybe my spirit keeps those other fuckers away from our house.
These two bulbs just burnt out at the same time when I was standing under them. Also, I've been getting really strong whiffs of perfume throughout the house lately.
Just two lights, consider yourself fortunate :2thumbsup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ9HvhteCDc"]Supernatural: Dean Meets Castiel - YouTube Hotwater
