Guys,does it really matter how someone introduces themself? It's no big deal, you're either going to find them interesting or not. I always try to greet newbies and then... poof.... they're gone from my mind. It's a forum for fuck sake, participate with who you like, in a discussion that interests you for whatever reason or just run around slagging everyone and everything.....it's no big deal! Take it all with a pinch of salt, let the shit go clean over your head, laugh at the twats, anything you like! If some poor sod is looking for like minded people let them look and then wander off again because we, us, are all different and individual, that is the true beauty of this place

I don't know if i wanna be associated with a forum that would let me in as a member

 

All my life I've felt like, and for the most part been treated like, an outcast in society. I feel different from most people (though I wish I wasn't), so if "meeting like-minded people" was a requirement for me joining a messageboard, I don't think I'd have signed up for any messageboard!

What I have found since I've been here though, is that I actually do have quite a bit in common with quite a few folks here, and to all intents and purposes they are very like-minded with me. So I didn't sign up here expecting or even wanting to find like minded people, but I have found them as an unexpected consequence.

Incidentally, I've never "formally introduced myself" on any messageboard I've ever joined, I just like to work my way in making posts on matters which interest me. lol

i would treasure like minded people to me. if people like minded to rolling along were that common, perhaps rolling along needs to reexamine some of his/her own basic assumptions.

of course the assumption that a place called hip forums would be full of like minded people, is somewhat disproven by hip forums.

Well, this is a place to meet like minded people, especially if you don't meet too many in your day-to-day life, rolling.

If I felt as though most people were like-minded, I probably wouldn't be here.
