Something else that might work for OP.. Dr Bronners all purpose soap. Anyone use it as a shampoo? I use it as soap but never actually tried it as a shampoo...
I stopped using shampoo but it made my hair grow in on the spots I thought were thinning out. Too much head hair for me.
ive been using the tea tree dr bonners for the past 2 months mostly for my dreads. but its all purpose so its badass. but imma be switching over to lush shampoos for my dreads. but dr bonners is a good soap.
True, and no (this is not a Nigerian scam artists wish list – the claims are accurate ) :2thumbsup: Natural black soaps help deep clean skin. Black soap works on most skin types including rough and dry or sensitive skin. Help clear skin bumps and spots by using black soap daily. Helps relieve acne, oily skin & other skin problems. Black soap is also great for removing makeup. Black soap benefits against premature facial lines and wrinkles. Black soap can also be lathered and used as an effective shampoo Hotwater
I tried it once but it dried my hair out way too much I did the no poo thing for like a year using nothing but water and I received so many compliments on my hair during this time. I went back to using shampoo when I lived to a house that uses well water because it started getting greasy. I guess the chemicals in the municipal water cut through the grease. I use an organic shampoo now but I only use it twice a week. I just rinse with water the rest of the time and wear my hair up or braided if it looks greasy. I guess a guy has limited options on styling though lol
I use Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 Hemp Eucalyptus Pure Castile Soap made with organic oils on my hair. Eucalyptus also repels mosquitoes, so it helps during those months when mosquitoes run rampant around here outside, plus I wear eucalyptus oil then, too.
I used baking soda for a long time, but for some reason the apple cider vinegar thing didn't feel so great on my hair, so I still used conditioner. When I was in Korea I used shampoo, and now I have the bottle I may as well finish it before I go back to baking soda.
I like the shave you head idea the best but maybe you're not ready for that. Don't quit cold turkey it's like any other drug, cut back a little at a time.
