Best recorded vision is not perfect vision. I was illustrating the uselessness of splitting hairs on this particular subject.

Um, no... scientists have the agenda of the people who fund them.

 

Because it's not going to be a "democratic" world government. We don't even have democracy in America, so why would the people pushing for this centralization want a democratic world government where people's rights and freedoms are upheld? Also, it's being done in secret, so why, if it's so great, aren't they being open about it? It's pretty obvious, I think. Look at some of the people who have openly stated the goal is a world government... people like David Rockefeller and such. Look at some of the atrocities that family has been behind, from wars to the current economic system.

 

And where do those organizations get their funding from?

 

I am most definitely not in favour of the kind of dystopian NWO world government that Pressed Rat talks about.A "World Community" however,that respects sovereign states and diversity,yet somehow comes to bring different peoples into commonality,respect and problem sharing...Well,I don't think that would be such a bad thing.

 

Unfortunately that's not what the people in power have in mind.

I mean, yeah, it sounds great at face value -- until you think of who would be in charge.

 

I know it's complicated.I just have a problem with nationalism.It seems so petty,and causes so many problems - socially,economically and militarily.

Nope. Without looking it up, I think it's something like average, ideal vision or something like that. I and plenty of others have better than 20/20 vision with glasses or contacts. My eye doctor is a good friend of mine and he explained it to me once but I forget exactly how it works. Something about average and distance.

 

It's not the average, it's the baseline of what is considered good human vision. Many people see better than that, typically at about 20/15. The ideal for any optometrist or ophthalmologist is to get the patient to see at their own optimal vision with our without a prosthesis, but the baseline (that is to say it has to be a certain degree worse for an older patient to consider say, cataract surgery) is 20/20.
