Whenever I dream, I can always physicly FEEL pain, it's torture. The other day I dreamt a spongebob dream, and there were these see cucumbers that were TRYING to hit me, whenever they did, I felt the spike go throw that area. When I woke up, my hand still felt as if a spike was stuck in it. Or my blue alien dream,. The blue alien touched my forehead, and I woke up with a zap, and my forehead felt all warm...almost burning, on that EXACT spot. I don't have any weird stuff in my bed, so that can't be it. Who else here feels actual pain in dreAMS; AND ANYONE KNOW why?
I have, though I can't remember having done so recently. I usually don't remember my dreams except in the morning before I wake up, and those are usually pretty good dreams. You feel pain because your dreams are your reality at that time. Your body is paralyzed so it won't interfere with the dream-plot or dream-sensations. It's all manufactured in your brain. If you're having a dream where you get hit or stabbed or otherwise hurt, your brain will manufacture the pain accordingly. Not all the time, but during those very vivid realistic dreams it will probably happen.
heh thanks for the info. But the thing's that I also feel the pain AFTER I woke up (like the one with those evil sea cucumbes). Why does it still hurt when I'm awake? That's the reason why I remember like 98 % of my dreams...I guess...
I fell asleep in class once and dreamt my eye was rottening in my skull, and that hurts like a bitch... when i woke up, i was laying with my eye on the corner of my book...
Because the dreams are basically real at the time (or possibly just are) and so your body reacts accordingly.... When you wake up, whether your dream was real or not, your bodies reaction to it was.... So you still feel it when you wake...
i once dreamed that i got hit by a Frisbee with razor blades on it...it wasnt painful when i woke up, but i could feel where it hit me in my stomach.
@acetonephish: Not me. lol... i don't have any weird spikey stuff in my bed. But I still feel stiupid spikes. And how do I make my head warm... I think Soulness is right. Like always...why is it that he's always right?Huh? HUH?
I have felt pain in dreams. It's not just pain though, I seem to have as full a range of physical sensation in dreams as I do awake. It's neat, especially should I chance to dream about getting a massage or if I dream about fucking. Though sometimes of course it can be unpleasant as well.
A lot of people believe that all pain created in a dream is due to outside physical influence. I have proof that it is not all outside influence. I had a dream that I was run through the mid-section by a sword. When I awoke, I was doubled over in pain and stuck in bed for an entire day. I had a bruise the size of the wound in the front and in the back. And to this day if I the weather gets bad I will have pains as if from an old injury. I've had several other dreams where I recieve bruises or pain or wounds from the dream, but nothing as intense as the this sword one.
Hm... nothing as extreme as any of your experiences, but I once had a dream about really gigantic easter eggs and when I awoke I had to get myself to the toilet to puke my whole intestines out, I was sick like I actually ate all that chocolate.
@nightentchantress: Maybe there were evil DEMONS that attacked you Could be, I've heard of stuff like that before. But really, that IS a really strange experiance you had!
