On reflection, you are partly right.
It isn't very practical for me.
I'd have to another bag for all the peripherals I have (charger etc)
So it loses it's 'awesome' status.

Everybody (ok, not literally everybody) seems to be sporting this style these days:

Yuck. Atleast get a decent looking flip phone.

PC, with wireless keyboard and mouse so I don't have to sit at a desk or table all the time.

I only use my phone for texting and calling and the screen is really big enough for that! The outside screen is indeed the size of a walnut but I only watch the time on it.

If a tablet only has wifi, and not 4g data (like some do) then with a non-smart phone, you will be unable to share data to it. It's not a technically savvy choice.

technically savvy and apple product users rarely go together though.

My smartphone is my life. I can not imagine what I would do without it. My laptop is unwieldy and almost always tethered. With the smartphone, I take the internet and my personal digital organiser everywhere

Im guessing that is one of the perks of the city.

I never considered a tablet. My phone does everything i need on the road and my pc does the rest at home.

I'm on my ipad now :?

I don't see what's to complain about, a light weight machine that has Internet access and unlimited books, music, movies, and more. People are beginning to get too comfortably numb with their old computers if they can't see the innovation of these devices. Technology has been moving fast, but it still is marketed to our interests for a reason

I don't place much importance on either but I do like the way computers seem to provide me with everything I need to now on a moment by moment basis. Sure, there's a lot of spam and nonsense. But every day we are mining for gold we will find it.

I did the same thing when I got the iPod touch. I don't need a computer, what is pretty much a small version of an ipad, and a smartphone. No one NEEDS that. It's just the wasteful and greedy attitude people have these days.

Just because some new tech exists, that doesn't mean you have to own it. Think to yourself, is it necessary?
