seriously...with all of these satellites spaced all over the entire earth, I don't understand why those psychics can't just tune into them. :p

Almond milk is Very Good. :2thumbsup:

I used to watch Criminal Minds sometimes; but I found it would get to me, or rather parts (bad parts) would just pop up in my traitorous mind at the strangest and/or worse times. Like when I'm trying to go to sleep, or when I would be reading something (pure fluff) to just chill my mind.

I know it is a fictional show, but there are really people out there that do sick crap like is on that show...that is what gets to me.

I also miss Gideon, and HATED what they did with him.

Unless you are trying to pass a drug screen, why would you do that? :)

:2thumbsup: My (very physically healthy) 94 yr old mother takes vitamins daily! She is about deaf, but I'm fairly certain that isn't from a vitamin deficiency...

She also told me several years back (when I was trying HARD to get her to wear her hearing aids) that she had heard everything she needed to hear. :D

Crazy, my grandmother is only ten years younger than her.

and my mom is a few years younger than you, Lynn, but she lost her hearing at 18 due to an infection

My mother had me when she was almost 37...I'm the 1st of 2 children. My brother was born when she was 41. Now-a-days women keep having children as long as they possibly can; but, back then that was something. Personally I think I would have jumped from the highest building I could find had I been pregnant at 41, or even 37. ;)

She also will NOT NOT NOT tell her age, and would probably flip out if she knew I was so free with this info. lol She has always been like this. I promise you I didn't even know her age until I was an adult (20 yrs old) and slipped and looked at her driver's license. My mother's people were not what I consider "normal", and she was raised by people that made it a Family Policy to Never. Tell. Your. Age! She comes from a family with great longevity...my great uncle (who I was raised to call by his first name) was considered to be "young" when he died at 83. :D

I'm glad I'm not like that...I'm weird in other ways.

For her day, I guess my mother was "ahead of her time". She began a career with the government as soon as she graduated high school (which only had 11 grades when she went) and a local college taking "secretarial science". I can't help but think her family and people back home (the community where we live now) just thought she would be an "old maid".

That sounds/types up just plain weird - putting secretarial and science together. lol :D

Then WWII came and she wound up moving to Charleston where she worked at the Naval Base as a civilian. She said she "dated a lot of men", and back then women went to dances, etc and ONLY dated (no sex!!! ).

good golly miss molly...it was a different time.

I have truly down deep inside only loved 2 men, not counting relatives...

but I dang sure rode a few horses to see if I'd like 'em. ;)

Yesterday at the doctor (cardiologist) Dad told her that he would like to live longer than his Dad did. She asked him when that would be and he said June of this year. He is 90. Truth is he will likely still be around after I am gone.

Looks like I gots me some yogurt!
Tastes good. Not all that thick.
I may strain some of the whey out to make it closer to a greek thickness.

We eat a fuck ton of yogurt. I might consider buying a yogurt machine. It's basically an incubator that keeps it's temp constant. My incubator* definitely lost it's heat over the night but thankfully not so much that it didn't work.

*a beer cooler. Which i found out that in Europe they call them esky's.
