    My vote goes for Sympathy for the Devil, a pioneering song at the time,
    which took a bite out of the Establishment and the religious conservatives
    who thought rock n roll was the Devil's music

    and it's just a great song!

    That's my favourite Deep Purple track :)

    The first version I heard was from their classic Made in Japan album
    when I was 18, that got me into playing the guitar, not that I can
    play Ritchie's licks on it though!
