I said after christmas i was gonna finally get a turntable...i checked my bank account a couple days ago....im not getting anything for a while.

 

i'm finally at ease with my bank account because I got my tax refunds, owed wages from the jews, and a bonus for taking the rabbi's son to the hospital on Shabbos

 

ohhhh taxes i hope i get my money back soon!!

I missed one night, and the new thread is already 13 pages long! I'll have to go back and read pages because I'm nosy and don't want to miss anything. lol

Work is getting to be something. I like it, I think...but the honeymoon is over I like having money; but I absolutely work like a dog and am worn pure out by the time I'm finally released. Yes, I said released, as in released from jail, the clutches of idiot customers, etc

good morning stoners.just checked my weather....says below zero nite and day for the next five days straight......wtf.....

I guess the rollingalong maple syrup factory will stop temporarily

 

-18 here this morning, ugh. i'm sitting in the library watching the snow being loaded onto a dump truck. I guess we ran out of room to pile it.

 

I have minus ten atm..heading to do groceries..........maple spiles are frozen solid in mid drip..its kinda cool looking.....

bucket on the woodstove barely gets hot enough to have steam but its down about 3 inches overnight...20 inches to go


the buckets outside have about another 12 liters already from overnight until they froze up

I got too sleepy last night. I think I'll try making some today. I have to find a recipe or directions.

 

a pinch of baking soda in with the beans while they're cooking will make them break up a lot easier and more smoothly, in my experience. not too much though, or it turns them to mush lol.

 

Sounds like you will have plenty of syrup

 

glad I got out yesterday to clean up the plastic trash around the property.. checked on the trees, dont seem like they are going to fall easy. put some weight on them. tugged with ropes , no move. so I guess its ok for now. cant recall if I took my heart meds ..

sumac trees, even the largest one wont hurt much if it falls on you. I grabbed a few tall broken ones, and pulled them out. over 20ft long but light as a feather.. still concerned with them falling on a car . ..
