a contractor that pays people to dig instead of using machines is usually a contractor who cant afford hitting a water or gas line

people are cheaper in the long run and do a better job

yes a contractor without a license. which I wouldn't dare work for.

It may depend on the job...I doubt it though, as you need a license to even start that job. Professional contractors will get a equipped excavator over any job any day that has 4 men with hand shovels.

When I work for a contractor who runs on license I always always make more than the one who doesn't.

The guy on the shift before me fucked me. Hard... he didnt put on the airlock feed screw and all the shit went on the floor. He was gone by the time i noticed so now i have to shovel it up. Dumb bitch should have known something was wrong he wrote that the thing had no amps...yet somehow never thought to go see why.

About digging swimming pools (holes) by hand...my favorite fictional character, Jack Reacher, has been, at times, a by-hand swimming pool digger in FLA. Like BBAD mentioned, not hitting water or gas lines is extremely important. Or like Broony said, one without a license would be bad to work for...but surely a fairly big employer that goes to lots of houses to install & maintain pools would have some kind of license. He just may have been sued in the past. :)

But back to my Jack Reacher and digging pools...it makes sense, especially for FLA, since some of the homes are on plots slightly bigger than postage stamps and only a hand digger would be able to go into the (ittybitty) back yards to dig the WAY smaller than average in ground pool. Swapping sides and thinking about the physical mechanics of digging keep him in excellent physical shape. Aside from this being fictional, all of that could be true.

Stoopid (worse than stupid) Tom Cruize plays Jack Reacher in the movie, but actually Don Johnson (The Rock) or Jim Caveizel (on Person of Interst) would be a much better cast for the role.

I'm sure there are other places than FLA and other reasons than my fictional example that there would be honest reasons for having a pool hand dug, is what I'm also getting to. :D

This may be hard to believe, but I still remember, to some degree, vacations we took to Wrightsville Beach in NC when I was no more than 4 yrs old.

Some of my fav retreats have been to the beach in off season. :)

How many hours are you from the beach, Sunny? That's how I judge how far I am.
I'm like 4 1/2 hours. It can be 5, or no more than 4 if you're my son.

    OMG!!! ^

But that's good too, if you have a good time with her, if there is that special bond, this trip will forever secure it...or not. :D

I think I'm going to die on a 5 hour trip.

Although there has been the time I've gone with a friend to NJ and also NYC. I might have a nervous breakdown if I were to do that now. lol but I'm not kidding. :)

I just got a text that said "did you get this"
it was a number i didnt know so did a reverse call lookup.
the number was from richmond, IN.
i dont know anyone there so i figured it was a prank or scam.
got a second text that said "its betty this is my new number"
the only betty i know is my mom and she wouldnt say its me betty and she wouldnt call from any other number at this hour. So now i think she got a new phone and loss her address book or transfered the numbers wrong. When i never reply she will no something is wrong.

Pens, that's just plain weird...unless you KNOW your mother is going to Richmond, IN...

I mean, is she moving there?

but anyway, I still get calls from kids to a coach...I never return them and always hate it when I waste minutes listening to a voice mail or reading a text.

    I always return calls...guess why?

because i'm not afraid of making phone-calls

also its rude to not return a call......could be someone that thinks a loved one is ignoring them.....but who gives a shit as long as y'all aren't havig your lives ruined by a ringing phone...what a horrible inconvenience in your days

do they have counselling for that down there?....

lynn....coach?...means kids and parents trying to call?....why would you not tell them they have the wrong number?.....poor billy wants to sign up for baseball but the mean lady wont return the call?

good morning stoners .....we have maple syrup this morning...not nuch...but syrup just the same....later I have to filter it again and i'll show y'all

My mom was getting ready for this yesterday so she wouldn't have to drive anywhere. Our roads here can get pretty shitty but I image Halifax is a nightmare. It's all slope; not a square meter of flat land anywhere. That can't be fun.
