Grizzly Bear. It was in Canadian Rockies. He was walking toward our campsite so we got out of there ASAP.

other people's posts reminded me that i saw a humpback whale in alaska. i saw killer whales up closer, but obviously a humpback is larger.

i also saw a moose while in alaska.

i saw a bear, black bear i think, running across the highway in the distance once. we are sure it was a bear though.

and i had a deer walk right up to me when i was a kid. he was close enough to touch and i was scared shitless.

Just remembered the elephant I petted and the humpback whale that swam up to the whale boat I was on in Hawaii, so the humpback whale was the biggest animal I ever saw.....I don't know how many school buses big he was.....but it is unreal to be so close to something that gigantic....unworldly.....

    Blue Whale

It was huge. We watched it rise to the surface to breath through its blow hole. Though we were hoping it would breach and jump the surface, it didn't happen, but the tail fin got to he totally visible outside the water; it was big enough to capsize our boat

That is true! Blue whales are awesome..the heart beats 7 times a minute and is the size of a small car and the veins are big enough for a child to crawl thru!

I have seen whales, coyotes, deer, burros, wild horses, sharks, boar pigs..that is about it..

It was so long ago. I think it was in the open ocean outside of Coos Bay, OR. There were two of them together. We couldn't tell if it was a mother and juvenile or not. We spent over an hour chasing them. Seeing where they would breath on the surface next.
