There are mountains in NC that are several billion years old. Grandfather Mountain was once taller than Mount Everest is now. It currently has some of the oldest exposed rock formations in the world.
Well I was tripping lol but comin' from a scientist I now know the earth is 4.54 billion years old, thanks
I just have knowledge mostly from books and online sources. I do know a little bit about chemistry and a bit of electrical theory and also refrigeration theory and stick and MIG welding (I studied that in trade school back in Baltimore) Plus just a little bit of knowledge of computers and a little bit about networking, and of course some basic social engineering skills I learned mostly from a book called the art of deception by Kevin Mitnick...one of the best hackers who was convicted and did time in prison. Now he is working for the government for penetration testing...looking for exploits and vulnerabilities in systems then coming up with a way to fix those security issues. The Art of Seduction is also a very good read, I highly recommend.
Really? botany and environmental sciences I believe. you don't remember a while back when she was the first to discover a species of plant in an area it had never been found before? that may be it in her sig. She has talked about what she does many times.
I just figured you would be more observant, being a scientist and all... by the way pork, my kid aced her first semester with all A's and is doing the same for the second semester. Another great scientist/mathematician in the making. :2thumbsup:
You know what's a plant I just read about? Dendrocnide moroides. It's some Australlian horrible stinging plant, possibly fatal.
Plants in general...they are quite amazing needing just water, sunlight and air to grow for the most part
