Bout Day Makeup Ideas

Our flier for this bout has a bunny girl on it. Not a bad idea.

 

Ok, so my derby wife insisted I let her do my makeup for my first bout, so I let her.


Grrr. I'm a leopard.

 

Also, last night was the hardest battle I've ever seen my team fight. Final score was 117-115 with our team taking the win, after a game that was neck and neck the entire time! The other team was playing extremely dirty, and there was TERRIBLE officiating. Several times they upper cut punched our girls, and back blocked us without ever being sent to the penalty box. Despite our desire to scrap the shit out of them for it, we played with integrity and took the win.


P.S. I kicked major ass, and I'm beaming with pride today. <3

mama, didn't you just break a bone in your leg a few weeks ago? or was it a sprain or torn ligament? i know you hurt yourself somehow...

Thanks! It was an incredible bout.

Yeah, a pretty severe sprain in my knee. A couple weeks ago, I was at 90%and able to go full contact. It still hurts a bit when I fall on it, but it's not bad enough to keep me benched.

Next month I have tournaments, bouts, and boot camps every single weekend, plus practice twice a week. We'll see how that works out.

Mama...I tried, but it was much harder than it looked, plus trying to take it off, I feel like I ripped off my right eye lid!!!

 

Next time use baby shampoo mixed with coconut oil to take it off.

I used a soapy wash rag...I am telling you my eyelid still hurts...revlon 24 hour liquigel eyeliner....now, why doesn't it stay on like that on a normal day? ._.
Maybe I can do better another time.

For your bout day pic -- funny, I had always pictured a group of kind of kind of hot ladies that roller bladed but it's more of an all age group, family kind of thing huh? ...nothing wrong with that, just not what i expected.

 

Yeah, I would say the same. But I was also thinking maybe the top middle.
