Barefoot Clubbing

I've a feeling girls get less trouble than blokes, especially when holding uncomfortable looking heels in their hands.

 

Sax_Machine, if we start getting heckled at clubs for bare feet, we should just carry a pair of high heels of our own, Prince style! Then maybe we could get the same sympathy that girls holding their high heels get.

I actually think that gay bouncers would be more likely to let us in barefoot, regardless of whether we've got shoes with us. Gay people seem to be more tolerant of barefooting, and perhaps some of them would have a fetish for seeing our bare feet

 

Well, considering situations where you might break your toes, unless you're wearing steel-toed shoes, you'll probably break your toe regardless of whether you're wearing shoes or not. It's bad enough breaking the toe while barefoot. It's even worse to do so in a shoe, since you're more likely to get it infected with microorganisms that just love to thrive in a warm, moist environment.

It's not unheard of for people to fare worse jabbing a nail through a shod foot than a bare foot. Pseudomonas bacteria especially enjoy that nice, warm, moist environment inside a shoe that you just don't get when you're barefoot. So really, I'd rather be injured barefoot than shod.

I don't go clubbing really, but when I do go out, I wear my shoes for about 2.5 seconds after I get in the place, and then they're off

I was reminded of this youtube video I found a few years ago. I'm not a fan of happy hardcore or hard house - too fast a tempo to dance to for more than half an hour, and it gets really hot and there's a big drugs association with that scene, but these girls think like me. Too hot for shoes! I can actually dance for a very long time when barefoot and my feet aren't heating up. I don't know how other people in closed shoes manage it.

In Majorca i went clubbing in flip-flops every night so i could slip them off whilst at the bar. OMG I thought I was the only one who did this!!

For me it was by complete accident.

A couple of years back I broke the heel on one of my high heels during the night which meant I had to walk round barefoot in the club and walk home like it (my friends didn't have spare shoes) but I actually ended up really enjoying the sensation of having pain free and unrestricted feet! It felt so nice.

Ever since that time I now always just wear flats instead of heels and as soon as I get into the club I take them off and put them straight in my clutch bag. I always have to be careful where I step obviously and shockingly I have never stepped in any glass only spilt drink.


I get funny looks and sometimes get told my bouncers to put my shoes back on but I just lie and tell them someone stole them lol

My ex boyfriend used to always say how disqusting I was doing it...one time when I came back from a night out I thought id get my own back on him and I snap chatted me trying to push my toes into his mouth while he was sleeping...he really freaked out loool

I'ts common knowledge I don't wear shoes clubbing as all my tagged pictures from nights out are all on Facebook and show me dancing with my friends barefoot.

So yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this, I feel normal now

 

burning cigarette butts on the dance floor also are annoying when treaded on by the toes... not that they hurt like hel though. first time it happened to me i didn't quite get where that stinging sensations came from, at first.
