I just found a kitten that I haven't seen in weeks! It's one of Runt Runt's (assumed) lost two of four. Her kittens are wild. They don't want anyone to see them much less approach them. God forbid you actually pick that newly seen one up. That tiny kitten screamed louder than a grown cat that had it's tail stepped on! It scared me half to death. I wasn't expecting that. Yikes!!!

Two things, if you have a car, van, etc, leave a window down if you can safely. The other thing we've done I train our cats to come in shortly before dusk by serving a ration of canned food at that time. It works for us.

Now, we've seen both of Runt Runts "missing" kittens.

All kittens accounted for so that makes a combined total kittenage of 10 (or is is 11? I can't remember how many Mystic had).

Sort of. Those littlest guys need to start moving around more. It's difficult to count them when they stay wadded in a ball.

    What a cat day.

There was a kitten hanging between some boards that shifted, trapped by its head. I don't know how it lived. We rescued it out of there an with some tlc this afternoon it seems to be doing relatively well.

A kitten with an eye that keeps matting shut. It went home with my daughter and is getting oh so pampered.

A kitten that had screamed from underneath the porch all day and would not come out no matter what I did. I'm sore from laying on the ground and trying to coax it out. This same kitten fell asleep with me on my bed 2 days ago.

Also, there was a kitten round up of sorts where in one of the accousted, screming kittens sunk it's teeth into my daughters hand and wouldn't let go.

I'd offer you a kitten but I don't suppose any of you are local to me.

My daughter called it Left Eye because that's the one that was matted shut. This is one of Mystic's kittens (the youngest of the 3 litters here).

She says the kitten is relaxed and getting a spa treatment.

So, we have the above kitten here today. My daughter is keeping it but I have to cat sit during the day. She named it NONA = NO NAme. It was born May 6th.

I've also brought inside the kitten that got it's head smashed and was hanging by it. It was born April 15th. It's Runt Runt's kitten.

Also, I've brought in the one that was under the porch screaming all day yesterday. It was also part of Mystic's litter born on May 6th.

There's one more, out of the eleven, that we'd really like to keep but we have to see...that's before we knew that we were going to take in the one that got stuck in the boards.

With the two we already had, the two additions today only bring the house total to four.
Well, four cats. I won't be keeping my daughter's once it's big enough.

    Current kitten count:

    4 inside
    7 outside

I feel guilty separating mothers and babies. I have to find a way to get all these cats fixed.

I know you can do this, but it will be just an enormous undertaking. I have 2 good-for-cats wire cages.

The Humane Society around here offers super low fixing costs, depending on income, type of income, etc. They might not even count disability as income. But would accept donations...

I'd wanted to/planned to come here and talk about my originally abandonded/locked up/rescued girl, BB.

Within this week she started being "off her feed" somewhat and peed twice - 2 different days - on newspaper on the couch...something she has NEVER DONE!!!! It was upsetting to everyone involved, needless to say. :(

Anyway, she seemed to feel better. Then during my brief rest period between this time and several hours ago when I was here (ha) she deposited some kind of something on my bed where I had been laying with her beside me...but I got up for something...then I came back to bed and there it was. goodnightalive

I think it was pee, although it didn't smell so much like it and it was bloody. which is bad. There wasn't a lot but I know I've got to take her to the vet.

yay for dang CareCredit and not having to go to work until 5 or 6 tomorrow.

I'll make an appt for her tomorrow as soon as they open, around 9am.

I'm glad you can get B.B. in with that Care Credit, Lynn. My daughter uses that for the vet.

Hopefully it will be something easily remedied. How old is B.B.?

She became my inside cat 1/9/2011, and I estimate she was at the very least 1 to 1 1/2 yrs old at that time...so she is probably around 4 to 5 yrs old.

She is back to acting very frisky, not unlike a (very spoiled) dog. lol

I saw her throw up, and the color was very odd. I'm to take her to the vet Monday morning. Lordhavemercy I dread that.
