Just from skimming this page (meli, yogi, odon)--- it's not really a free speech thing. At least not with me. And I don't think you'll get banned here or anything for saying that word. (maybe unless you call a member that, but Obama is not a member as far as I know)----
But anyways, free speech. You can say it if you want. I actually respect your right to say what you want.

But what I'm tryin to say is... just why bother? It gets misconstrued. It takes AWAY from the message. And really.. how old are we? 15? Why do we need a "shock value" when we talk anyways? Some people just don't get it. That is exactly how I feel and why even when I'm in the company of my black friends and white friends and the white friends say (in front of the black friends) "what's up my niggas?" and yea it's all good and cool and everyone means it in a good way and everyone is moving beyond... I don't say it. Because I think trying to change a word in THAT WAY or in the way like yogi and some others I have known try to say it.... well, it's all just keeping a word around that does no good. If there's no good to it, why do it?

And it really does take away from any message in this scenario.
