And on top of that...it doesn't matter what the leaders say. They have deeds to property. They own it...even if their leaders said to forget about it. It's their property.
:2thumbsup: Point #3: ISIS is not the whole islamic religion. It is an extremist organisation that abuses religion to get power and influence.
See the examples above about ISIS. How is Hamas all of Palestine? In addition to that, they have a valid REASON to be angry.
Plus, Hamas is an elected organization and ISIS is something completely different. There is no place in the Israeli/Palistinian conversation for ISIS. Totally different deal. But....in propaganda....if you want to disparage one side, affiliating them with the worst people available is a great way to dehumanize them and make killing them more acceptable. But it's really nothing more than the same as saying that since Michael Vick killed dogs...all NFL players are nothing more than animal abusing scum. See? It doesn't really work if you're being logical and fair.
And I understand as much as anyone, the history of Hamas. But for the time being, they are an elected organization. And while I do think they are definitely guilty of some past accusations, I don't think it's nearly as much as what they have been accused of.
If you elect a known terrorist organization as your government you take the consequences of their behavior.
Viet Nam 1967-8, questioning why Americans are hated. "We don't hate Americans, we hate your government."
I'm going to say that images like this are not from a careful, calculated attack on individual militant targets with regard for innocent non-combatants. This is from an attack that had no regard innocent people. This was basically a carpet bombing to clear the land of buildings and people.
In all fairness, I think different events detract from one another and Syria is just as important and related in a number of ways. But since this thread was specifically about Gaza...I chose to limit my comments to that. I honestly have been a bit more focused on Gaza lately but I'd like to see any link that you want to share about Syria...either here or via PM.
