Palestine does not have the land area to be defensive when it comes to any military strengths. They are militants/militia they have no tanks, aircraft, or helicopters. This isnt David vs Goliath , its more like Mr Potatohead vs Goliath .. They have some homemade rockets and mortars that are more of a nuisance than they are weapons of mass destruction. They should really be in the skylight installers business.. However. Hamas has killed zero Israeli children. Israel has killed well over 400 Palestinian children. We always like to point the fingers at the Arabic groups as being the instigators. Cease Fire lol, that may be possible in the world of ESP communication. But its very unlikely the news had traveled to all militants when cellular and landlines communications is cut off. Palestine has no true army, no true commanders, no longer getting Egyptian and Jordanian support, other than humanitarian aids. They are Israels bitch and thats the way it will always be. gruesome pictures in Technicolor .. http://whatreallyhappened.com/IMAGES/GazaHolo/index.html?utm_content=buffer7311c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
Just wanted to say the last two posts are very great. Oh and Orison... I decided I will have to check out that link later as my three year old is sitting right beside me with his head on my shoulder.
Where could you drop a bomb in Gaza that it couldn't hurt any children? Nowhere. Does that give Hamas a free pass to do whatever it wants, without retaliation? Fire rockets into any country on earth, and they're going to respond with violence. You can count on it, every time. Even a wimpy country won't just sit there and take it. The Palestinians really fucked themselves when they pissed off the Egyptian government. Without help from Egypt, they have no hope.
You don't think the Israeli military could find some way to retaliate that at least a LITTLE more targets hamas instead of civilians? I just find it hard to believe that they CAN'T attack back without killing as many civilians as they have. I have heard various different statistics on how many civilians vs hamas militants have been killed... and I'm sure it is hard to determine the exact ratio anyways... but even the LOWEST statistic by ISRAEL says that it's been 50/50. The UN said somewhere closer to 72 % civilian and groups inside Gaza City have estimated instead various figures in the 80 %'s (civilians)....but even if someone were to accept ISRAEL'S claim ...even then, 50% is still very high.
I don't know, it's one of the most densely populated places on earth. In the little town where I went to high school, I remember how close everything was to everything else. It would have been nearly impossible for somebody to blow up just one thing. I assume it would be much harder in Gaza.
They aren't even trying and I was just going to post pics to prove it but the site says the image extensions aren't allowed. Google it for yourself and see if that utter devastation looks anything remotely close to precise attacks from one of the most sophisticated armed forced in the world.

I know right. I can't even imagine a politician from the us saying things like that. I mean could you imagine... Obama or someone saying those things? THAT would be amazing but can't see it ever happening. It is good to see there are western politicians who don't all sound the same though!
I would feel differently about this whole thing if they had not already been through it so many times before. Every time the Palestinians start firing rockets, they know the Israelis are going to hit back hard. So why keep playing a game that you know you can't win? Why put the people through it, over and over? The stupidity factor makes the whole thing worse, for me. All this suffering is completely wasted. It isn't going to change anything.
so today hamas launches 50 rockets into random places and breaks the ceasefire agreement and their reason for attacking is because "israel wont agree to a long term ceasefire" what a bunch of maroons :dizzy2:
When i was a kid a kid down the street started throwing rocks at me as i walked past his house. I hid behind a tree and threw rocks back at him. This went on for a couple minutes nobody getting hurt. Then i threw my last rock accidentally hit his living room window and broke it. his mom came outside to see what was going on. I said im so sorry i didnt mean to hit the window. It was an accident. she said its ok if they werent throwing rocks then you would have never thrown them in the first place. So whos fault is it when unintended targets get hit?
One of the problems here is that the members of Hamas ARE civilians. They do not have a uniform. Basically any male between 15 and 50 could be Hamas. Or he could belong to some splinter group operating against Israel. That's why soldiers get Rules Of Engagement (ROE) which are supposed to determine who gets shot and who doesn't. If the ROE is too soft - meaning, for example, you are not allowed to fire unless fired upon - then more of your own soldiers get killed. Israel drives a very hard ROE: shoot first, ask questions later. Another thing is that most of the casualties are from mortars and air raids. You know how the military likes to use the word "surgical strike"? There is no such thing in populated urban environment when it comes to bombings. Bombs are not very accurate in the best of circumstances. Remember: they are ALL civilians. Palestine has it's National Security Forces but they have nothing to do with Hamas.
That's what can happen when you basically lock an entire population into an open-air prison, arrest people and use snipers at will, impose a suffocating blockade of food, medicine and other vital supplies, steal their water and gradually steal their land...resulting in their prison becoming that much smaller. People start to get desperate. Is it logical for them to fire useless homemade rockets? No. It isn't at all. It's the action of a desperate person who feel like there is no other option because nothing has stopped Israel so far. They will continue to issue eviction notices, bulldoze Palistinian homes and allow "settlers" to build on that land. They will continue to starve them out, imprison them and kill them and the world isn't going to do a damn thing about it. They know that....so they fire rockets into the desert.
Off topic but that was a very nice story and a very nice mother that lady was. On topic if more people were like this the world would be a better place but people are filthy beasts for the most part and can't see past their own hurt.
the problem is that they dont want to get anywhere, they want death and that is what they will get...and if you want to guess what side im talking about then your guess will just be on whatever side you sympathize with.
