DC is like three hours from NYC... one and a half from philly... you'll be apart of the action if you move to DC. if you move to nashville, well... you have... nashville.
while I like Nashville as a city better than DC - what Miami says is right, DC is more central to other excellent places to go. My vote goes for DC
Lets see... In DC your likely to get mugged, raped, and shot. In Nashville you have country music. I'm going with DC.
haha true! i'm definitey partial to dc myself.. but i think nashville is probably a pretty hip town, i just don't know too many people who have much experience with it. i mean it's a good sized city, i'd expect there to be a lot of music going on there, not just country. but dc is in the thick of it all.. ohhh i just don't know!!
I love washington DC and would def consider moving there for a year but wouldn't want to live there for a long time
I've never been to Nashville, so I'd say DC. I'm not crazy about DC, but I do have family there, and I do like the subways there.
Yes, the subways in DC are good. Efficient and clean. But expensive. The problem with DC is that if you want to do anything political, there isn't really much of a local scene. Almost all of the activists are doing national things. It's not just politics, either. It's hard to find local culture there. I've never been to Nashville before. But I supose that I'll probably spend some time there on my tour of the deap south coming up. in the next couple months. I'll let you know. Do you have some sort of decision coming up regarding Nashville or DC? There are definately cities that I'd pick over either.
fuck dc. i don't wanna be surrounded by all those dirty stinkin' filthy politicians. i'll take nashville, because at least out there, the majority understand the "TRESPASSORS WILL BE EXECUTED" SIGN.
i wouldn't want either, but if i had no choice, it would be DC. i have plenty of friends in the surrounding area...
Nashville, seeing that it would be an easy 35 mile move. I've never been to D.C. but, I have been to NYC. I'd visit again and I would like to see D.C. but, living in a big city is not my idea of sanity.
living in a big city is my sanity. i don't know how i keep sane in the town i go to school. i can't stand being in small towns....but different strokes for different folks, eh?
I love the city too. I was at a farm (and small towns surrounding it) for a week and I almost died. When I came back to Pittsburgh it was hard to breathe, everything was so bright and loud yet, I still loved it.
Nashville for me, mainly because I don't want to be part of another terrorist attack, although I'm sure Nashville could just as easily be a target but not likely
