Thousands of cravings, each so strong, I lose my balance
Thousands of plans and still I have no patience

When it comes to love, life and death is no difference
I keep living, dying for her.
For god’s sake, please don’t remove your veil
I am afraid, I will find someone else

I know the religion and I know the preacher
But I saw him enter the forbidden doors, when I was leaving yesterday.

Thousands of cravings, each so strong, I lose my balance
Thousands of plans and still I have no patience

Is this a poem by Mirza Ghalib? I like it, in any event. :)

Ghalib is wonderful. Unfortunately no translations can ever do him justice.
