    Hey Maura,

Sounds like you've had a time of it with the pipes.. that has happened to me before, right after I laid new tile on the floor and the ceiling fell in, in three rooms at the same time.. and we had just painted.. insurance would not pay bc they said it was man made water as in, pipied in.. then we discovered a few shingles missing and put in a claim bc the back bedroom was wet and growing mold.. then they paid for a new roof and new paint but they did not lay a new floor, but at least the roof and ceiling was fixed and the back bedroom

    I've been hard at it.

These are simply display images. Do not print these images. I created very high quality print images for you guys. I will do the color printing on big peel off label stickers and mail batches off to you guys.

Will this work for Sara and you???????

^^ they're great labels Kenny.. I wish the Mary & Sara'a products were within my reach, all lovingly put together in the kitchen..
yes Mary, it's a bit of a bummer when pipes burst, & I'd never bothered about insurance.. (am rectifying that!) It happened in July & I've had to wait for it to dry out, but also had to wait 'til my son can get 2 weeks off from his job in Germany.. It's always a joy when the kids come home.. My older son was in Florida with his partner & two boys in the Summer & broke the news that they got married there! We're all happy about it as we have our share of family shit that makes these events awkward, & this was the perfect solution.. I hope all is going well with the church business.. :daisy: [IMG]

Unfortunately the bugs are in the computer. I think/hope we got them out yesterday, but the anti-virus thing slowed us down a bit. The situation here home wise is much better now.
    Hugs all, Ranger

Hi guys. Time for a bunch of up-dates. I've been mostly a little out of it and a little under the weather. And we've just finished with some tremendous inundations and huge down pours but that weather is now pasting and hopefully so will be my being under the weather. People can change when there is a barometric pressure change. Hence, the term "under the weather."

    Getting back on the horse.

Say, Maura. I am hoping that the kids get to say with you for a nice long time and that you all have fun together. Is you son there and is your kitchen getting fixed? Hope Hope.

I've been wanting to ask you, which way out of London are you?
Many of the folks who we know here are off to the northwest of London. I'm just curious. Lot's of love to you and your crew.

    Cakes.

The labels mailed out on Friday afternoon. Two Day Mail envelope. Check your mail on Monday.
They look great. There are 6 labels to a sheet. I think we got 6 good sheets of each Kosher and Dill. 36 of each. I had a bunch of miss prints that were off center mistakes. Some cut off at the bottom, too. Printed sheets on them before I could correct the problem. You will see. Those are clearly marked and separated. Some few may be usable. Take a look.

I'm thinking that you and your grand daughter might be thinking of going to First Tuesday in Canton or whatever it's called and maybe make a bundle. Yet that's just a thought. If you are going to try to make sales and need more labels for trying to do sales, just let me know and give me some idea of how many of each one you might need and I'll create those and mail them out straight away to you.

Maybe just sell a case or 2 to a couple of local stores for half price. wholesale price. Worth a shot.
Could turn into repeat business all year long, and for next year too. One never knows until one tries. Correct?

I want to try to turn your Sara into a wealthy business owner so that she can buy you "a Mercedes Benz, 'cause your friend all have Porches, we must make amends." And so that she can take great care of Grandma in her old age. HEY. Why the heck not? Right?

So, let me know if you're going to try to to sell and tell me how many more labels to send yas. GO SARA GO !!!!!

    Stay Happy !

What I think is very funny about all of this is that I cannot do pickles. I get horrible indigestion from even the smallest piece of cucumber. Even from shavings within a salad. Way worse then some folks get from eating raw onions. And Pickles hit me the same way, too. So, oh well. But yet that's very funny that I'm helping in making pickles by making labels, and routing for you guys to succeed with your pickles.

New info for Sara. America (and North America and South America) are named after Amerigo Vespuci. He figured out that the islands and the land was a whole new unknown continent, and NOT like Columbus had thought, and group of eastern island way off of China in the Pacific Ocean. Like the Philippine Islands or Indonesia. Here's the deal though. Amerigo Vespuci was also a major merchant, A ship's provisioner. And he stocked Columbus too. Barrels of meat and stuff. Also, he was nicknamed "the pickle merchant" in his time. Barrels of pickles had vitamin C and this would keep the sailors from getting scurvy from the lack of vitamin C. Just like the English sailors were known as limeys.

So, anyhow Sara and you are in good company, in being Pickle Merchants.

I thought that she might get a kick out of that. And you too.

I talked with Mike the other day. Friday, I think. He's totally proud that on October 7 they are going to hold a ceremony for swearing him in as a full fledged member of his Elk's Lodge. How cool is that. He is all lit-up about it. Yea! Mike!

Says that he too is having problems in typing into this newly restructured website. I told him to keep on trying, and that Skip had a topic that covered that sort of problem on the front page of the website. Others have had that problem, too. Many others if you read what Skip wrote there.

    Sunday Services.

The Church of the Good Earth. Just like in the old days.
    Sunday go ta meetin'.

    The message:
In our thoughts and prayers. Note: Mary Jo and I went out to see B. B. King and his band performed last night, Saturday night, and it was great. He just now turned 89-years-old on the 16th. (Riley B. King (born September 16, 1925), known by the stage name B.B. King,) The poor guy is really up there in the years. Three guys walk him onto the stage and helped him to sit down, and also help to walk him off of the stage at the end.

It's hard to believe that he, and his old guys in his band, have already done a 30 city show tour at his age and that they have added on 10 more cities and new dates to the tour. WOW!

It was CLASSIC. It was Wonderful. It was an event. It was extra special.
His band was terrific! Unbelievable. He was just as smiley, and golden, and happy, and joke'in' around as he has always been. His audience loved every minute of it all. They loved him.

I saw him once before at Winterland in San Francisco back in the fall of 1969. He is always unbelievable.

There was a sadness to it all, though. When you are that age, a lot of things wind-down. He was having a lot of troubles. He'd do a riff and miss a note or hit a wrong note, and then he would get all frustrated and simply stop. Then he'd get back to it but even more cautious in his playing. Riffs that he'd been doing all of his life. The audience loved him and didn't care at all. They would cheer, "We love you, Man" and "You got it" and they would applaud all the more. It was all beautiful and sad at the same time. 6000 people all right there with the man. All loving him for who he was and for the joy that he had created. It was so beautiful and special. He couldn't remember the lyric to The Thrill Is Gone, just some of the chorus, and nobody cared at all. They all just loved him.

At the closing of the show he just said that "I love you all." and that "I hope that I can meet all you wonderful people again next year." Everybody cheered, and screamed "We love you" and that "we hope that we can too." It was so real.

He sat in his chair in center stage for the longest time afterward, with his 3 guys trying to talk him into standing up and walking. A quarter of the audience had stayed and all came down to the front of the stage just to hang out with him and take cell phone pictures and maybe say something to him back and forth. This all lasted for quite a long time and nobody cared. They were just being together. Being in the moment. And everyone realized that it might just be for the last time ever.
They all hoped for the fulfillment of the Next Year Wish. "See Ya." Yet, everyone sensed.

In this thought, if you pray, I'd like you each to give a moment and say a prayer for his wishes and the Next Year. If you would. Or that if he goes, that he goes to love.

We've lost a lot of people in our church and out, over the years. May we have thoughts and prayers for each and all of them. Eternity.

Somebody give me an A-men, or at least second the motion !
    LOL
