The evidence is clear and the methodology is impeccable: Im sure he got thoughts from the dog at the grocery store and the giraffe at the zoo in contrast to arrive at these conclusions.
Sounds like the guy dropped one too many tabs... And what are you doing reading the Daily Mail man? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McuHVXgR8dA
I have an old Smithsonian book from the 1890's or so...Id have to look. Anyway it's a huge two volume account of Smithsonian expeditions to the American South West for the study of various Indian cultures. One section gives amazing accounts of the Seri Indians and what fantastic runners they were. It cites the researchers releasing horses which the Seri would run down, wrestle to the ground and kill for food. If I remember it right. Not much on the net about them.
one hypothesis is sexual selection pressure. male preference females with less hair. this leads to an overall reduction of "hairy genes" in the gene pool..
another hypothesis is that a higher level of intelligence evolved when humans migrated to colder climates, as they were less physically suited for such climates, they used intelligence to figure out ways to survive. when humans learned to wear clothing to stay warm, lots of hair was not absolutely necessary, and there was no longer much selection pressure in order to evolve back the lost hair.
Wearing furs and clothing evolved along side of human hair loss as we adapted to hunting and farming in extreme climates. The advantages of being able to strip naked in the heat and bundle up in many layers when cold should be fairly obvious. Where many furred animals are limited in blood cooling to tongues and ears, human can strip and sweat everywhere. This gives humans huge endurance advantages over other animals that may be faster than us but have to stop and cool down more often.
From my point of view, the give and take cost/benefit analysis of qualities like our lack of hair only strengthens the case for natural selection, compared to the super 'intelligence' of intelligent design or aliens.
i think the sunburn thing can be explained by migration. humans just migrated faster that we could evolve for a specific climate. but if you look at indians in africa, their skin is perfectly suited for their original native land. interesting theory, but for it to be true, it would also have to explain the strong evidence for our evolutionary history, as wizard put it: i think this theory may explain the origin of life coming from asteroids carrying some type of organic matter or precursor.
This is so cool. I really hope this is true. Aliens are cool, even if they did put us on this planet as prisoners....
Maybe hair has more disadvantages such as hard to keep clean which would be deadly when being wounded. Bacterial infection is a killer back there.
Even if this theory was true, what exactly makes the planet we came from so awesome no one had back pain? Dumb
The atmosphere on the other planet allowed for our body to be super flexible like Gumby. When we crack our back, we are calling on that muscle memory from the alien planet.
Bone is really calcified muscle tissue. Our ideal shape is a gelatinous blob suited for intergalactic zero gravity space travel. As a matter of fact, that's probably why mamma June is so damn sexy. Yeah, This alien ancestry shit is really starting to make sense to me now!
haha that reminds me of the guy from ancient aliens with the funky hair. "the reason we have back pain, is because of aliens!"
