The United nations convention against corruption states that to fight corruption, governments should promote integrity, honestly and responsibility. What a noble idea. Aint gonna happen
This belief that if there was no religion there be no war and there be peace is one that confuses me. why i understand that religion is no doubt a cause of war. i cant totally lie the blame at its front door. why the west continues to live and govern under a system that is about exploitation there will be wars. why our governments continue to build weapons and expand its military there will be wars. why we continue to block and cut off countries there will be wars. what is needed is a completely new system that's is based on equality love and understanding. it is now also up to the individual. there is so much one can do to make this world a better place just in there own community. look at the events in Paris this week. i have not seen or heard one french person attack Islam or its Muslim population but i heard them expressed tolerance, love. the events of Sunday brought tears to my eyes. humanity united in its love. it was a powerful image. love will always conquer hate. but what is need now more than ever is a changing in thinking and government. a revolution in consciousnesses. but for now let love guide your hand and you heart and your mind and you will always bring peace to somebodies life.
Man is not a peaceful species. Period. For every one of you that thinks love is the answer....there are 500 others that would kill another human just to have what they need and not blink an eye. It's a losing battle. But still a sweet pipe dream :/
Well, if not always love, at least respect another's feelings about any matter, even if you do not agree.....and don't fight someone else's battles..... life is a struggle....for everyone....and battling to keep head up above water is enough battle for most people as it is.
the christians already had their murderous genocidal times...now we just have to wait for the other religions to catch up and have their turn at it...
It seems that the statement one made has stimulated words and feelings of both Hope and resignation - I guess similar to a glass half empty/Full scenario - in so much that one can take a stance of 'some things will never happen' and accept the status quo - like a Black man in the White House or with steadfast resolution continue to endeavour - with a rallying cry of "We shall Overcome" (I guess maybe one has to be of a certain age to really appreciate why that is) = Keep the Faith - Persistence is Never futile
Go climb a tree, you might find Peace up there But yes I agree, the outlook is not currently good to say the least. The West has made a rod for its' own back by invading the Middle East, and the Muslim extremists are rising up. If and when that blows over I imagine there will be something else. I remember when a million people marched against the Iraq war in London, and it didn't make a damned bit of difference to the warmongers, Blair still went ahead. I still believe in the principles of peace and love, but the political establishment never have in my view, and that's a very hard job to break down the thinking of those vested interests.
Life's so incomplete Here on the street Live in a doom town Nothin ever change Alway's stay the same Live in a doom town Doom town People with blank stare's No one who care's Live in a doom town You can never win Living innocent Live in a doom town Doom town The wipers
The only way there will ever be peace on earth is if the population is reduced to 1 .......and even then, if that person happens to be suffering from Schizophrenia or a split-personality he’ll tear himself apart – exit man Hotwater
But what is there to put faith in? So, you have heard or maybe even seen pictures of the great trash pile in the middle of the ocean? Why haven't the countries come together and found a solution and cleaned it up? Seems very simple to take care of the earth rather than destroy it, yet, countless millions are spent on heinous weapons to kill..
