I went out today and got some boards from my sawmill for some projects we're working on. This is cut from an Ash tree that had to be removed. It's about 18 inches by 8.5 feet long. I have a decent amount of this Ash cut so we might as well use it. I love woodworking.

I honestly don't remember what the deal was with that tree. It was removed maybe a year or year and a half ago. Dead trees are obviously more dried out but not always/usually dried enough that they can just be milled and used right away. Sometimes they are too dried to be useful. But I do remember that this particular tree was still green or we wouldn't have kiln-dried it like we did. Most of what you cut that is worth keeping will probably need to be put in the kiln or air-dried. Use boards with too much moisture= the boards get warped and cracked later. Drying to fast= boards crack on the ends. That's called "checking". I'm not a pro at this though. I am a pro arborist but the mill is just a side hobby since I have an almost unlimited access to all the logs I want and I enjoy woodworking.

I don't miss my homeland as much as some Hispanics do, and whenever I hear them talk about how much they miss it and how awesome it is I think "then go the fuck back!". I love america.

just noticed that you mentioned something about the baby a while ago, rolling. baby is doing well! we will go for another ultrasound to get measurements around the end of april/beginning of may and will hopefully find out the sex at that time. i'm hoping for a girl, but only because we have a name picked out for a girl already and it would make things easier haha. i don't really care either way, in truth.
