Unfortunate Names

worked with a lady with that last name once and was too mortified and embarrassed to even ever say it......

 

My mom's friend works in a pediatric ward at a hospital. He came in to the room and there was a rather ghetto woman with a little girl. He reads off the name: Ladynasty. But he read it, "Lady Nasty?" and this lady flips out telling him her kid's name is LaDynasty.
*shakes head* No hyphen, no apostrophe. Just Ladynasty.

what an awkward nickname too. nicknames are supposed to be short and to the point. as in "what's up, T-bone," or "hey, Big Dog's here!" you don't want to walk into the party and say "long time no see, Person Who Has Been Known to Take Dumps That Are Not Only Unusually Large, But Also Exceptionally Smelly."

My former sister-in-law was employed by Ben Dover for years.

 

personally i consider all common ones unfortunate. and of course a good many less common ones as well.
ian fleming was fond of finding those kinds of combinations, though he prefurred the suggestive to the obviously unfortunate ones.
as anyone can in the phone book of any large city.

 

aw....a name is a name is a name is a name....it is not the person....a word is a word is a word is a word....it is not the person....a number is a number is a number is a number is a number...it is not the person....

if anyone knows the hurt people can cause over a name, i sure do...don't think I am insensitive....things are much different than you will ever know....
