whenever i did have a 'car', usually a truck and preferably a van, the last one i had was a hornet wagon, i'd always keep a fairly complete kit in there. what's the point of being able to haul around a ton of crap, if you're not going to haul around a ton of crap? by that i mean things your actually going to use. things you have no intention of ever using, what's the point of having at all?
on any given day you can usually find a bunch of receipts stuffed into the side of the door, a bunch of change in the center console, a couple of coffee cups, and a banana peel from my breakfast. I moved a few weeks ago and threw a bunch of stuff in my car that I didn't put in the moving truck..a rug, a couple of space heaters, some toys. I haven't mustered up the energy to take it all out yet
jug of oil & jug of antifreeze, funnel and towel blanket & pillows metal detector Flashlights coat & hoodies Igloo cooler tote tennis rackets & foam swords
I never learned how to drive (on purpose). I walk everywhere I go. It's like a free lifetime gym/health club membership P.S. I thought I saw a pic of you standing in front of your car? Or were you just wishing it was your car? What's up?
Why learn how to do something you have no use for? I could spend that time walking instead. It's good exercise (and much cheaper)
I know, one can do both. It's not like you never walk if you can drive. I certainly have a lot of use for my drivers license. It is good to have. And I never bought a car either.
i've had several cars in the past, and of course license to drive them. but then i had a wife, who wanted me to drive her everyplace in cities with perfectly good bus systems, where i didn't believe cars belong, especially one that was falling apart and i had no way to fix it. sold it for basically scrap value to get ride of it (well i bought it for not much more then that and got a couple of years use out of it, and a wife, so it wasn't a complete loss). so when my license came up for renewal, i got a state i.d. instead, because i really never wanted to be in that situation again. that was more then ten years ago, and now i probably could put a vehicle of some kind to good use. but i refuse to regret having done that, and i do feel good about not contributing to the demand for oil. i've also always been an enthusiast of public transportation, having grown up on the railroad, back when they all ran passenger trains. i just feel there needs to be a lot more of it. as much as there would be, if it had kept pace with increased population. if transportation POLICY, hadn't shifted so completely and extremely (and insanely from an environmental perspective, along with economic and aesthetic for that matter) toward the car.
Eek! Sunglasses, empty water bottles, spare change, maps, mud, sticks, kite, walking boots, wellies, waterproofs, torch, sleeping bag, blanket, picnic rug, large umbrella, couple of books, loose rizzla papers, first aid kit, some letters the postman handed to me while catching me leaving the house in the car, probably a hat and scarf in there...maybe buried deep...oh and a towel.
....so that you have options and can be the master of your own destiny, when you find yourself in a tight spot. I can't imagine not wanting a skill, especially such a useful and potentially lifesaving one.
Interesting. So.... is everything you've posted made-up trolling? Or just a good portion of it? Because you're not who you say you are, apparently.
It was my friend's car. Everybody in his family has a car. His father, his mother, his brother and himself.
I dont see any connection with what you say. I never said I have a car. If you mean the picture, the car doesn't belong to me. I just had my photo in front of the car. It had nothing to do with having a car. The car is my friend's. I just asked him to take my photo in front of his car.Everybody in his family has a car. His father, his mother, his brother and himself.
So are you one of those jobless synthetic weed smokers? Obviously normal people can afford cars and gas in turkey, since your friend has 4. Also, you've talked about driving places, like istanbul.
