Visas were a 100 bucks each (CDN) and airport fees added 150 bucks a ticket. Plus the entry fee to Petra was about 80 bucks a person and beers were about 5 bucks a beer (at the liquor store). The government is hard up for tourist cash.

So Barry Manilow is GAY, what a shock

In a very exclusive wedding, the "Copacabana" singer wed his longtime manager Garry Kief last year.

The wedding was held at Barry's Palm Springs, Calif., home and was attended by 20-30 guests. The guests, according to a source, were told they'd simply be attending a "lunch" at the home, not nuptials.
"It was a surprise," a source said.

Not only was the wedding a surprise, but many of the singer's fans were surprised to hear that Barry was gay.

"He's at a point now where he's got his career and personal life in a great place and he really doesn't care what people think," a separate source tells PEOPLE, adding that he never hid is sexual orientation. "He's in love and happy."Barry and Garry have been together for more than 30 years.

The couple did not sign any official paperwork but they both wear wedding bands. They are "committed to one another and have been for a very long time," a source told PEOPLE. "They have a great relationship. Garry has always been there for Barry."

Suzanne Somers reportedly served as "best man" at the wedding.

Haha..i mean he lived in Palm Springs, the desert gay capitol.
Interestingly, there is a crazy dangerous trail in palm springs and i have done it. 7 times!! It is called the skyline trail and starts in the back of the palm springs art museum and it goes 25 miles and over 1000O of elevation gain.ne of the reasons its so dangerous is the heat. 83 degree temps in the summer at midnight. Wintertime it is the ice on the traverse at 7700 ft.
The best 2 months are may or October.
The palm springs tram is awesome on the way down thru 5 climate zones.

    ^ that's scary.......

speaking of confidence...anyone watching Little People....Tarra's Little family....it is on Wednesday nights.....Little People LA's tarra is pregnant and she now has her own show with her pregnancy......the baby may have both types of dwarfism from both parents and the chances of living for that baby are low....but they did not want any tests done to see what type of dwarfism the baby has until after birth....so i am hoping for the best possible outcome and think it will be, or would they have a show?
i have fallen in love with tarra and her boyfriend.....they are wonderful......

a week goes by, and nothing very much seems to change. a year goes by, and still nothing very much seems to change. and yet, let a decade go by, in which nothing much seems to change from week to week or year to year, turn around and look behind you, and everything seems to have changed.

every decade has its gains and its losses.
and every decade has different gains and losses.
    and they're real changes too.
but while they're happening, they're almost invisible,
unless you're very young, or very observant.

or if you have the misfortune to live someplace that is volatile and unstable, but that's a different thing.
though even then, it probably doesn't change much from being that either.
