good evening ya'll...its evening here in san diego. i thought i'd enlighten you on my tour of duty and hope to bring out some old vets in the audience if there are any...or just to give you some insight on Uncle Sams Misguided Children incase u were wondering. I joined up after a little stunt in college...i did about a 2 qtrs at ohio univ and decided i was not mature enough to handle the stresses of going to college and parting and trying to work. so when i was in jail i saw the commercial of the Marine fighting the fire monster and decided that i was going to sign up...so fast forward to 99 and i graduated boot camp..which totallly kicked my kulo!..do all all of my intial training in parris island south carolina, camp leigune north carolina, and merriden mississippi. now its 2000 and i'm off to california. my dream come true! a little small town boy going off to southern cal...my eyes were about to be wide open. so anyways i do the club thang and all of that blah blah blah...now my unit tells me we're off to okinawa japan. cool! so in 2001 i go over there for 6 months. nothing but a party over there. so fast forward to 2003 and i'm called over to kuwait. now i've been working in the airwing for like the past 3 years...now their telling me i'm on security duty guarding some aircraft taht the iraqis' wanna destroy...i'm like cool!...that Marine mentality prevents u from feeling fear and all of that smart stuff that makes u mortal!...ha ha. anyways i'm over there for 7 long, long, long months. guard duty was a rush almost every night...locked and loaded as they say. i didn't shoot anyone thank God...i'm not afraid to kill but...who wants too???. so anyways the Kuwaitee people were mad cool they are some of the nicest people i ever met. this one guy just gave me his ammo vest just because i said it was nice and what he would want to trade for it...so anyways i was there for a lot of heat...are base got "SCUDDED" 13 times!!!...thats a lot. when that happens a loud alarm goes off and you gotta get into your chemical warfare suit and beat feet to the bunkers. but thank God we were never hit. so after the war was over i was there for an addtional 3 months or so to provide support for the cleanup crew. and finally in August i got to go home...without making a stop on Germany and parting it up over there for a stint... so to make a long story short i'm still in California loving life and I plan on making a long carreer out the of Marine Corps. i'm currently the units personal trainer and assistant ops cheif. i plan on staying in to make this my carreer and i hope to one day start a band. peace and love and brewtality to metal fans and hippy's around. holla! heres some pics of my tour in kuwait
thanks...i've been here for a little bit i was just wanting to expose myself a little more...hee hee. here's some more pics of Kuwait.
Oooooooh, a Marine. sweet deal man. i have a few Marine friends at school, and a few that are going for a Marine Corps commission. i believe 1 is getting shipped out this year sometime during the school year. i have Army friends getting shipped out and some who have already shipped out. i was talking to a Marine recruiter to enlist during high school, but then i decided not to do it. then i thought of commissioning in the Army, so now i'm at Norwich University. and now i dont' want to join any services for many different reasons, including injuries to myself...but i keep getting Army recruiters calling asking me to enlist and i keep saying i go to a ROTC school, they just don't get it i guess... but anyways...awesome photos.
^thanks bro...yea don't pay no mind to those Army recruiters heh heh...if you have any questions feel free to PM me... Late.
