Bump To 1, 000 For A Painting Of Mine

It started to feel tedious....like some people wanted it to end already.....so i am very polite....
on the other forum, energy was different...people were just having fun and looking forward to talking about anything under the sun on the bump thread....bump thread is always there with no prizes most times....anyway....it is a place for conversation mainly...it did not feel that way here.
and the timing just felt right to end it here at the time....spontaneous decision. I said it on the suppplement bump thread before it reached 400.....that it would go to 500. Did you see that? If not...I should have made a bigger noise about it.....

 

No, I never noticed it, but that is okay! I had a TON of fun playing, and am so thrilled for Ari. I think the right person won!!!

 

well, shit, girl....I am really glad Ari won also...feels right some how....

 

I am thinking 16"x20" size, Ari in oils....not too big ...not too small....average standard size in canvasses....the muses are dancing around. ihope to begin this painting within the week,...I seem to perform best under pressure....though....under the gun.....LOL

JK....well, maybe not....friends were visiting 2 years ago.....my friends from texas and taking us out to dinner here, so i wanted to give them a painting. i waited until the last minute to paint it on 16x20....Halloween theme......and my friend lives and loves halloween......and she is crazy about witches....so it was the perfect painting for her. She loves it and still mentions it from time to time....I posted a photo of it here before...but will see if i can find the photo again....only problem is the broom was the wrong way......in the painting, as i think Rolling pointed out at the time. i think it was him.....lol

great timing, too, as my friends visited the week before halloween.

anyway...my point was....i was under the gun with that painting...not anyone's fault but my own waitning until the last minute........sat down painted it and did not stop until I finished it that night.....
Many paintings ido this way, anway.....some get weeks and weeks and weeks, too.....
I don't think there's a better way...only a feeling way to paint.

I am just about finished with your painting here, Ari...I hope to tweak it a little before I sleep tonight and let the drying begin tomorrow, and since it is in oils....it may take 2 weeks to dry...could be less....too....depending on the humidity here...I am pleased with your painting, and think you will be, too...

When it is dry, I will pm you for your address and finally get it sent to you.....so I am pleased....and I will have completed the painting the same month this game ended.....That makes me happy.

Ari, I am finished tweaking now.....I finished around 6 pm this evening...took a few photos and feel satisfied. i could tweak forever.....and that can ruin a painting after awhile, so i am stopping now. Would you like me to show a photo of it here now or be surprised in July?

There were two paintings....original and tweaked....liked them both, actually....but tweaked is a bit more pow. LOL
