How Does This Work ?

Just noticed under my user name where it said Member it now says Senior member what did I do to get " senior'ed " do you have to have a certain number of posts and then automatically get promoted or is it summat else ?

My Birthday was ages ago Lol

 

it used to be 1000 posts to change to senior but who knows what it is now

yeah that's not accurate at all. originally i thought it was just not updated after the last site upgrade because that's when the requirements were accurate for each category, new members weren't allowed PMs back then like they are now, and senior members did get 1000 PMs back then instead of the current 5000.

but then i realized it wasn't accurate before the upgrade either. i think "new members" were actually "guests" then. and this says that non-paying members can't create a custom user title, which has always been allowed of senior members and is also allowed of regular members now.

i'm sure there's other inaccuracies as well, but those ones stood out immediately.

 

i'm guessing you're looking at something that came with the bbs system software, not the site itself, which nobody thought was important enough to make consistent with the actual usage. just a guess though.
