hmm..the idea is to talk to others, post friendly and to have fun meeting new people....it is a free speech site which means you wont get booted for saying what you think....but if you tell a joke that offends someone they will complain and your post would be removed...purely to stop more people being offended and to maintain the happiness level on the forums. I think the system is fair and quite reasonable.

I actually agree with him, the point of free speech is that you can say what you want, and if someone has a problem with it, they can

    1. Choose not to listen or
    2. Say what they belive louder.

"you wont get booted for saying what you think....but if you tell a joke that offends someone they will complain and your post would be removed"

Removing what they said is not freedom of speech.

I find it fine how the forums work but weird that we censor some people by removing their posts yet the slogan for the site is still something like 1001 free speech forums. There is an ignore button.

By the way my favorite joke for when people are standing around telling rascist jokes,

What do you call a black man with a P.H.D?

Jokes are a form of art. They take creativity.Should art be censored if it offends or drives people away?If we're going to be free,we need to be totally free to love and joke and yes, even hate. The point of keeping this site censored is not to drive people away so they can sell more posters and how to be a hippie books.

Racist jokes being the topic of a thread is a cause for contraversy and is not benefiting the forum in any way. I complained about the thread, and it was rightfuly closed. I'm just disappointed that the idiot that made it wasn't banned.

I didn't see the jokes posted but post stuff like that and there's always gonna be some moaning **** giving out about it, it's a fact of life, get over it. The only thread I ever saw here that I thought was bang out of line was one started by that Stan Grossman knob head.

The liberal "freedom of speech" just means complaining about republican presidents and government officials. Anything else is completely out of line!

Are you just Parroting someone elses rhetoric? You should know that both sides do what your describing. Conservatives pigeon-hole liberals, and vice-versa.

    Its for the birds.

Both sides use the constitution to serve their own agenda however this is basically a liberal forum...In theory anyway.
Thanks for the joke,I'll have to try it on some of my black friends...no maybe not.I might not make it to the punchline. Is getting hit a form of censorship?

i think freespeech is exactly that freespeech which means you should be aloud to say whatever the hell you want i mean if you wanna get technical you could say even bush is racist or crossing the line by him quoting "buddism is not a religion its a myth".anyways my suggestion is let people say what they wanna say and if you dont agree with what there saying just dont agree with there comments and move on to the next topic
