Thanks I appreciate it! Even in everyday life people are judged by their looks, I guess sadly nude beaches aren't an exception for some people. Funny you mention a bad experience. He also said one time he went there were two young girls there in bikinis who went swimming and sun bathing. He stayed at least 20m away as usual to give them their space and then some guy came and sat right next to them like within 1m and kept looking at them. They ended up packing up and left so probably ruined the experience there. My beach has people in the sand dunes with binoculars some days too, the cops don't seem to do much about the bad behavior either. It's meant to be quite warm today so I'm hoping to head there after work, hopefully it's fun like the last time. It's good that you can still have a positive attitude despite what happened to you that time. Some people project bad incidents with one individual into every similar person. For example a few people of one race does something bad to someone so they hate that whole race, or one or two guys are perverts and sleezy so some woman may think any man at a nude beach alone is a pervert! Many of us are guilty of this at some point in our lives. Luckily you're smart and understanding so that bad experience didn't permanently effect you.

I watched a nudist documentary before and the girl who it was about gave a really good point. She said that wearing clothes is more provactive that being nude. Woman can wear shorts with their butt cheeks hanging out and reveal a lot of cleavage which can be viewed as being very sexually intriguing and flirtatious (maybe not the best words) were as being completely nude is showing everything you have and not really provocative since its natural, we're born nude after all.

If that last point were entirely true, you'd get the pervs hanging around the textile beaches where they could ogle the clothed women! But I think what might be happening is that people have the idea that once there isn't a rule making everyone wear clothes, the only rule that's left is the rule of the jungle--if you have the power, you can do anything to anyone. So a man who wants to harass women thinks it's OK at a nude beach, where he wouldn't try it anywhere else. And most likely he got away with it, and enjoyed himself and plans to do it again. It didn't matter much to him that these women had clothes on, he just wanted victims. It's stuff like this that makes nudism much less attractive to women than to men.

I think its ok. I've been to a nude beach with one of my old boyfriend and one of his friends. They went nude and tried to get me to do it also. I'd only been going out with my boyfriend a few weeks and didn't really know his friend, so I wasn't going to do it in front of him. They were ok with it.

Some people like to look at people at nude beaches, some like to be looked at at nude beaches. Some like to watch people having sex, others like to be watched having sex. If a woman goes to a nude beach, or "clothing optional" beach, she has her reasons. I don't know what her motivations are, nor do I care.

What I'm seeing here is this: Whatever I do is within bounds. If somebody does more, they are a "perv." It reminds me of the definition of an alcoholic... Somebody who drinks more than I do. To people who would never go to a nude beach, those who do are "pervs." If my wife and I go somewhere we don't like, we leave and find another place we like.

Sorry, forgot to add: if a woman goes to a nude beach "and wears a bikini". So what if she is dressed?

We are in the same situation as you. Wife and I often go to the clothing optional beaches because she is not comfortable being undressed in public, so she will keep her swimsuit on while I go nude. She never even goes topless. No one objects or cares, they are probably just glad that there is at least some women there whether fully clothed, topless or nude.

In fact I would say that probably more than half, many times all, the women do not even go topless. In my experience, there maybe 1 to 5 women that are brave enough to go nude at most.
