Second, I'm not intimately familiar with Rhodesia but it is my understanding that the apartheid in South Africa was not in anyway the experience in Rhodesia. It's also totally true that black people in both places had their material quality of life drastically improved after Europeans showed up. Were they equal to Europeans? Of fucking course not, as no group of people with an average IQ of 70 is equal to a group with an average IQ of 100.

I would like you to argue against this position; South Africa and Zimbabwe were the poorest of the poor before Europeans showed up. Their wealth dramatically increased while Europeans were present, and as Europeans are being driven out, their quality of life is taking a nose dive.

In 1991, the government of Zimbabwe, short on hard currency and under international pressure, embarked on an austerity program. The World Bank's 1995 report explained that such reforms were required because Zimbabwe was unable to absorb into its labour market the many graduates from its impressive education system and that it needed to attract additional foreign investments. The reforms, however, undermined the livelihoods of Zimbabwe's poor majority; the report noted "large segments of the population, including most smallholder farmers and small scale enterprises, find themselves in a vulnerable position with limited capacity to respond to evolving market opportunities. This is due to their limited access to natural, technical and financial resources, to the contraction of many public services for smallholder agriculture, and to their still nascent links with larger scale enterprises."

Moreover, these people were forced to live on marginal lands as Zimbabwe's best lands were reserved for mainly white landlords growing cash crops for export, a sector of the economy favoured by the IMF's plan. For the poor on the communal lands, "existing levels of production in these areas are now threatened by the environmental fragility of the natural resource base and the unsustainability of existing farming practices".[41] The International Monetary Fund later suspended aid, saying reforms were "not on track."

Don't know the infant mortality rate. We don't measure infinity nor do we have statistics for any particular witch doctor. Fact is by terms you use the majority people of zimbabawe saw immediate benefit from the end of minority white rule and then whitey came back with the world bank and imf and started asking for reformed governance, privatization and the like in order to secure loans to take advantage of a superior education system. The indigenous efforts are overwhelmed by the white rules. They are the same rules that account for income disparity within industrialized societies. It is not a level playing field. Africa is being put down and robbed of resources by industrialized money and has been for centuries.
