I think that is what he has been talking about---those that don't have shit, so they'll take from others by force. Like you indicate you'll do.
I think Sundrop farms has a good head start on "Bartertown" http://www.sundropfarms.com/ My FB Buddy Dolph has a nice system in place too. http://biocharproject.org/community/biochar-industries-kunghur/
Sorry, don't own whatever that is! I have sporting rifles, sidearms and shotguns. Who has room to stock up? I do however have enough ammunition to obtain all that my family would need to survive. At the point of this happening, I don't care what I have to do or drop to get what is needed! Yep, others will have them too. But from a nice snipe point, drop one every minute and they will leave or give you what you came to get!
Or they will just kill you. And then after you're dead, they can go to your house and take whatever they want and who knows what would happen to your family? Your plan might work in limited scenarios but I would guess most of those would be rural scenarios and people would catch on eventually. And....as someone else already pointed out....resources would dry up quickly and there wouldn't be much to steal. Plus....you wouldn't be the only person with a plan. Not only would you have to contend with the people whose resources you're trying to get, you'd also have to contend with all of the other people who are trying to do the same thing. You aren't the only one with a gun.
That's the fun part of the game! There will be people doing the same, I'll attempt to take them out too! They will dry up quick, so I'd be out ASAP collecting. Have more than one plan, enough friends to help collect and feed their families, I'm pretty sure I'll fair well living where I do. That and the fact, can't kill what you don't see and I dont plan on knocking ondoors. To each their own, everyone has plans until 'it' happens!
survival of the fittest and smartest.....then Darwin's theories become true and just sitting aorund praying is out the door. I have already joined forces with all of the people here around me here, anyway, and some are ept at things and others are ept at other things....and we would have each other's backs here....i am never stupid.....
unless of course you run into the guy in the pic. He could drop you at a little over a mile with that Barrett .50 cal he is holding, assuming he knows how to use it. funny that a self proclaimed gun enthusiast doesn't recognize one of the most famous sniper rifles ever made. but overall, sounds like you've been watching too many episodes of the walking dead or revolution....LOL
In the right winger fantasy world, you always shoot a little straighter than the bad guys, always have more ammunition than they do, and always make better decisions on the fly. Just like on cheesy TV shows. Reality isn't like that. One of the most efficient is pumping water uphill during times of excess energy, then generating power later when the water flows back downhill. The effeciency is better than 95%. I know of some places in northwestern South Carolina where they do that with pairs of lakes that are close together. We need more places like this.
small scale Geo-thermal can also be done house by house and you don't have to dig much at all. Just a yard or two below the frost line will do it and then it is a stable temp of around 50-60 degrees. Can be used for both heating and cooling. While it isn't a complete solution because of the stability of the underground temp, it takes a lot of burden off of the conventional heating and cooling solutions and that equates to enormous energy and &&& savings.
I almost bought one of those back in 1986 for $5,000, an M82A1. Was going to go halves with a friend, but decided against it because of the expense and there wasn't any place to go and legally shoot it at the time....LOL
My basement is my GeoThermal... Unlike most basements it's completely underground and helps regulate the temps in my house summer and winter. The house is semi passive solar and I heat with wood. I do need electric though. If I had several solar panels I could run my well, hot water and blower on the wood furnace and get by very well. Cheaper too... Electric rates are fucking crazy.
yup, that is true. For instance composting works because it heats up a bunch under the earth, and can sometimes reach temperatures hot enough to power a small house. I don't know if that's still considered geo-thermal or not, but it seems like a similiar concept, using earth's heat as energy. http://compostpower.org/
That is not a Barrett .50cal, that's a redneck invention that is most likely for show! I'm surprised at the look of it, you can't be that dumb!
