Don't give up on school! Just because you were lazy doesn't mean that you can't do it! I think the most valid and informative thing you can do for yourself is to stick it out for school. From my own personal experience you might be better off attending school online. I finished college with an online university called National University. They have a monthly format. One month, one course... simple. It's boring as hell but you'll get your degree and in the long run that will count for a lot.

Lastly, don't think of yourself as a quitter. Maybe you'll go back later! It's up to you but make sure you're doing the right things for yourself.

I am dead set on moving to the inherited farm. I'm actually feeling excited about it. I have something to look forward to; a sense of direction in my life. Previously I just felt lost and confused.

Attending school online would have been perfect for me; no social anxiety to hold me back. Should have done that, but not as if it matters anymore.

    Thanks for the support :)

As you can see here---people DO care about you. You are lucky to have a farm to go to. Dig in--plant gardens. Fix up what needs fixing. Create
something of which you can be proud! Pets that need companionship and will return love as given to them will clear your mind, I think. Luck has not much to do with your path---make your own path and shine, brother.

Remember-dead is forever. It happens waaaay too soon as it is and I'm sure that there are city kids that would love to visit a working farm. Now that would be a great thing to do--helping those less fortunate than yourself.
    Of which there are millions!

When you get to the farm they might have the internet. Just think about it. You might find that there is room in your life for the farm and school!

No chance of internet unless I get a satellite dongle or some shit. No phone reception either. Should be good :)

Well I guess school is out for the time being then. Last but not least keep your future in the front of your brain. Don't forget that you have a life and you, no one else, choose what happens with it. That's all I have to say.

I was thinking about staying there forever, like my grandfather did. He was entirely happy staying there for over 50 years. Getting internet and taking online courses is probably a good idea, just in case my girlfriend eventually wants to go back to society. I don't imagine life in the city would be better than nature, though. I guess I'll just have to see what happens when I get there.

I used to think people are way too obsessed with their future, and that they should just stop worrying because everything will work itself out. I probably should have cared more... maybe then I'd be less confused.

Have a good day, soulcompromise :)

I apologize for being confused once again. How do you propose I help the less fortunate? Not many people around there at all.

I'm surprised at how many people cared enough to take the time to try to help me.

    Have a nice day.

Depression isn't forever. I've dealt with it, as have a couple of close family members. Couselling may not be for everyone, but information definitely helps. In my case, it was breaking the cycle of negative thoughts: "I'm depressed. I have no right to be depressed, I have a good life. Now I'm more depressed because there is no valid reason to be depressed. Well, life sucks anyway, so what differmece does it make..." and so on.
Talk to people, there is love and caring around us.
