Usually, I just say "Oh, cool". The only time I get excited is if the person lives in California. Then I'm like, "Oh, always wanted to visit, possibly live there." Then I get jealous and kind of bitter. But, not sure if it shows because it's not like I say a snarky comment or something. But, people can sense things about people even over the Internet. So, I'm sure they sense something is up. I don't mean to do it. I'm not blaming them or anything. It's just how I feel and I got I get. Anyways, other than that... I'm like... "Oh, cool"

If you would just go over my first post again you might be able to interpret what I said, the way I said it. :)

    Which was: I see people..

Which wasn't: this happens to me.

i like to think about all the places i've been from in other lives. none of them happen to have been on this planet, this solar system.
physical worlds in a physical universe, whatever there might be for the non-physical to experience between lives.

little houses, not too far to walk to little towns.

I guess so. Imagination must be phsyical too. Everything has to be physical if it exists or is in sight of something else in this here world.

The soul is our cerebral cortex area forever trying to identify itself or something. Or that's part of it. I tend to see it as infinitely retorspective self-idnetification, akin to a dog chasing its tail because you are never static, or at least, self-observation can never be.

    lol huh.

I just HAVE to point out that your display picture fits you perfectly.

The first line of your post, I agree with.

The rest, I don't understand. I have no idea what a soul is, but from what I understand, it lives on after your physical body dies.

If your emotions, memories, personality, and everything else about your physical being dies along with your brain, I guess there would be no point of ever having been on earth, as you (your soul) couldn't have gained anything from it.

I wish I was smart enough to understand this shit - guess there's only one way to get all the answers, though.

there isn't any wrong or right about it. there's no one thing. there is only one wrong and that is hurting anything needlessly or the kind of world we all have to live in.
right is the combination of logic and universally mutual and impartial considerateness.

sorry but i must completely dissagree. yes out thought processes and memories take place and depend on a physical brain. but the rest of it, just simply no. mind takes place in cerebral cortix. its like the user interface to the operating system. but mind is not soul. mind is as much as can be physically detected, and even that, is essentially software. a snapshot of constantly changing complex structures that exist as a statistically emergent phenomina. you can code software, you can represent it in all kinds of ways, but you don't see a process except by watching it in motion. and that's just the mind. soul is yet another order of magnatude removed further from the physical. enough to not be dependent on the physical at all. otherwise, it would simply be no seperate thing.

there's no absolute proof of course. i can only anecdoatally recall my own experience as an infant, with quite clear and unambiguous inclinations, long before there was any chance to develop them from my surrounding physical environment.

    1. My first post said thoughts and memories are totally totally not physical.

-- then I read the repliers more grey-zone philosophy and and understanding on what is physical.

I'm more thinking - like -- you know them atoms that appear and disappear based on if they're being observed or not?

Methinks our thoughts and memories can be something like that too. I have to think, in some flippy way, they DO have a physical presence to them. They're not solid. But not everything is solid.

    ----

If you who probably knows more say the Cerebral Cortex is the area of the brain where our Operating System exists, then perhaps my understanding of those two words might be in the right catagory. I'm just saying 'soul' talk happens in the cerebral cortext. I think you agree with that.

    ---

    "Mind is not soul."

They're like the same thing. Mind would be the language of the soul.

When I used soul, I totally do not picture anything. or something floating out of my body and going somewhere.

and I have my arms, the universe is here, real-things exist for no reason, and no-matter what other distractions occur, or my current understanding of anything,

TO ME, there appears to always be an outside layer -- though partial to this place & where my vision is -- but always t/here and opening a mouth for all of this. And it's had its mouth open since perhaps the moment right before 'I' was born. And the mouth is always opened bigger than in-ward-out-ward warp I don't know.

I bet I'm going to be asked this a lot when I am in America.
Where are you guys from?

I remember having an argument once with an American tourist who claimed that the native language of Austria was English, not Deutsch. And he was adamant about it too. I remember ending it with lulz. "It's not Australia... MATE!" :D

You should tell them that you’re of pure Aryan descent and your grandparents were high ranking members of the gestapo and the SD :clown:
