Tipsy, can you go out? Take a walk? Stop in a coffee shop or record store? Go to see a movie? You've got to fill your mind with some other stuff.
Sometimes, it just takes a while. That's how it was after my brother's body was found and I visited the place where his body had lain for a month. They had just taken his body away the night before. I saw and smelled things I will never get out of my head but I came to where I wasn't thinking of it constantly. I hope that you feel better quickly.
As we've all heard before: this too, shall pass. I don't know the exact details of your circumstance, but truth be told, it doesn't matter, because you are no different than anyone else, and if you stick it out long enough: this too, shall pass. The soul knows what to do to heal itself, and believe me, it will. Your job is keeping this in mind and trying to push forward while this is happening. As others have said, try to keep busy. If you don't have the heart to keep busy steadily, just make sure you accomplish at least one thing each day for now. Just to make sure you moving forward, even if it's just a little bit. Things can come flooding back, things can feel hopeless, but the beauty of this is that what you try to do to "fix" it, doesn't really matter. We heal. You will heal too. I am confident of this. Try to make this uncomfortable phase as comfortable as possible, trust that (hate to sound like a broken record) this too shall pass, and the rest will work itself out. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing. Just ride the wave as best you can. I'm sending you positive vibes. I wish you well. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
Oh, well it's intended to be a cheer-up pic, and it was nice of you to post it. I just think the cat looks like it's scratching the dog.
It is hard to give some reply without knowing your proper problem. I am unable to understand you whether you need advice or I should recommend you any kind of medications. Good luck!
There you have it....you don't want to "think" about it any more.....so don't. You must realize that you have that thought running in your brain over and over, like a cassette tape. Put in another cassette! Fill your mind with fun stuff, like playing when you were a child. Be a happy child again. You are what you think.
