Mowed the meadow today... Before that was more garage sorting. Under all the piles of stuff is supposed to be a shop.... With tools.... That I can never find.

 

That reminds me of the little old ladies from the church. Mom had the van so they'd all go on outings in it. They'd offer her gas money and she'd refuse it. They'd insist she take it. She'd still say no; and then my kids would be riding in the back of her van and find money stashed in all kinds of places. It was cute. She always let them keep it.

Need to check the air pressure in my tires today. They do it for free where I bought my tires! Hooray for free air!

Mower works great... I lowered the seat height this week and softened up the springs. Larger, wider tires right after I bought it for a wider range of available mowing height.


Nothing remains stock... Everything gets modified.

Oh, and by the way, a gasoline fire is not a laughing matter. I hope you never have to deal with one... Watch your Karma, man.

Reminds me of the asshole at the gas station the other day.. smoking while pumping gas.. he wanted to be a fucktard, so I killed the gas pumps with emergency shut off..

the most addictive (and possibly least rewarding) substance known to humanity is tobacco.
the physical cause of my wife's death was c.o.p.d. (she was only 59. waaay too young.)
i'm glad i don't understand addiction.
its not like i've never tried.
i could just never see getting to where consuming anything for no better reason then feeling like i had to.
its been years since i've smoked anything.
i think the herb is the only thing i ever have, and that's been years ago.
i've just never gotten into consuming mind altering substances of any kind.
in some ways i feel like i'm almost cheating to not be attracted to anything like that, but i'm just not.
my mom who never smoked anything, lived to the age of 91, almost 92.
my dad who had smoked much of his life, and managed to successfully quit in his late 40s, barely made it to 70.
there is even some question as to his birth year if he even made it to that.
i'm getting real close to the age he was. just another couple of years and change.
i don't expect to last as long as my mom did.
in a perfect world, if everything that is known about health were available to everybody, without cost to themselves,
i'm sure we could all live past a hundred, if we didn't do dumb things to kill ourselves.
we don't live in that world, but we don't need to voluntarily mess ourselves up either.

 

I use whatever substance it takes to accomplish my goal. If my goal be mastery of my own condition. Then let me my have addiction that I may lay it aside. It is called developing acquired immunity.

i'm not dissing the RITUAL uses of tobacco. if people could have just left it there, and not made an everyday commodity out of it.

(like what's that thing the christers do with soda crackers and grape juce, i forget what its called. although even once a week would be too often.
and not neccessarily smoking it, but more like scattering some of the leaf on the ground or on some kind of alter or something)

 

Victory. Not as fast or pretty as I had expected (the other dude was huge) but our guy won...1 minute and 21 seconds into the first round. Made him tap out. I told you guys this would end in the first round.

It could have went faster but at the fighter/trainer meeting we were informed that many of the things I showed him are now illegal moves at this level. We had to quickly reformulate our game plan just before the fight. It also would have went faster if he followed the new plan. I told him that the guy can't take a hard punch. Get after him with combinations. Overwhelm him. The first or second punch might not land but the third or fourth will. He can't be that fast. As soon as you land that first really hard shot...you will see it in his eyes. Unload on him.

Well...he landed a hard right and put the guy into the cage. Perfect! What does he do? He goes in for the take-down. That gave the bigger guy a bit of an edge just because he was so freaking big. Our guy slipped a few moves and finally got on top and started dropping bombs. The dude tapped out under that barrage but that never should have gone to the ground like that. He could have easily won standing up and throwing punches...much faster.

We have a lot of things to work on now that I've actually seen him fight. I don't know how motivated I am about training another fighter. It's cool but I have a lot of other things going on.

That wasn't going to happen. I would have bet the farm on it. I had very little to say in the way of motivational speeches. His own mom was there watching. I told him "Tonight...you make a statement. What kind if fighter are you? Actions speak louder than words! What do you want to say?" He said "I'm going to fucking kill him!" I said "Prove it! Don't tell me what you're going to do. You fucking do it!"

He didn't follow the plan but he pretty much got the job done.
