You're going to have visible abs as long your body fat stays below a certain percentage. It's 98% diet. Doing endless ab workouts will just give you a bigger midsection.
Well I've had to sew every pair of pants, jeans and shorts up since I started all this. Safe to say I've lost size doing what I'm doing.
Because whatever you're doing is causing you to burn more calories than you consume. I guess what I was trying to say is that you can't spot reduce fat by exercising whatever part of the body you're trying to lose fat from.
On the stationary bike as I am typing this while listening to the new NEW Beach House album. How utterly hipster of me.
I went for a run yesterday. I normally hate running, I think it's the most boring form of exercise, but the mood to run hit me for some reason.
Cardio is very boring, but good music can help. This is why I also prefer interval training, because you can achieve a lot more in a lot less time.
But there are so many oher type of cardio I would rather do most of the time. Hula hooping, rowing, even using elliptical machines is more exciting because you bob up and down weirdly.
Music makes cardio enjoyable. At least for me. I like listening to Bach or Vivaldi when I am running. I focus on the music when I am running. Since my body got used to running, I don't get so tired any more while running. I run long distances. My friends get tired so easy when they try run. I've been running for over 3 months so my body got used to running. But without music, I would still find it kinda boring but with music, it is quite enjoyable. I like focusing on the music when I am running.
I can't listen to music while doing cardio, those ear pieces are terrible and never work. Instead I usually just hum to my own tunes in my head as I go. I always pretend like, I'm training for some sort of battle. So lots of drumming and shit going along with every footstep I take on the pavement.
I find running without music peaceful. You can just zen out. I can only run on trails though - I hate running in cities.
I was just getting back into martial arts and excersize in general after gaining a lot of weight. then a week of long shifts in shit shoes means I have to have surgery on my toes, not being able to be on my feet has really stuck a spanner into my getting fit again works.
I haven't had many opportunities to get exercise other than walking to work lately. I try to make myself run as much of it as I can now though. I also seem to have found another job that involves some heavy lifting. Not on purpose, but I just happen to be the strongest person there so the shifting and transporting of big heavy boxes seems to fall on me a lot, which I don't mind. I managed to lose a few pounds somehow too! Some of my pants are a bit loose. I actually thought I had been more sedentary lately since summer ended. My roommates are setting up an improved exercise room in the basement right now! We always had one but it was badly laid out and didn't have much in it. We bought a used exercise bike to put in there and they are rearranging the weights so the room will be more usable. Hopefully I'll get more use from it now.
