I know some politicians+ some of my relatives were. My information leads me to see politics as a bit of theatre and not much more.

What I disagree on is phrases like "shadow government".
Yes much Western democracy is rather a veil of bullshit. But its not a formalised power bloc that controls shite. Its people with money/contacts/media control/soft and hard power.
They have their own rivalries and hatreds. They have feuds and they have family friendships dating back many centuries in many cases. But anyway, what probably does unite them (to a fairly high extent!) is their contempt for the gullible mugs that believe the shit thats put in the media.

Going by the amount of contempt you guys have for people who take notice of the news in the media (and project onto them that they follow it blindly). Get real. Taking notice of a wide variety of sources (incl. media) is still the best way to get a full picture.
People have to use their critical thinking skills at all times anyway, wether it is with mainstream media or the assumptious 'news' items Pressed rat is posting. To reject the whole bunch as complete nonsense (without even seeing it ) and then go follow some internet 'journalists' (or what do you call them) is at least as stupid. You answer it yourself. To get a full picture you need to look at a WIDE variety of news sources. Different countries, political allegiances, journalists, indies AND mainstream.

How do you explain the countless phone calls, pictures, video, audio, that was sent from people during the crisis?
Was that all staged and manipulated as well?
Did this nefarious secret cabal of elite puppet-masters intercept and edit every single communication leaving Paris?

Conspiracy theorists aren't willing to confine their annoying and repetitious shit to the Conspiracy forum section because they want to indoctrinate people who have no interest. Skip set up that section so that their bullshit could be contained where it would be easier to ignore by those who don't care to read it.

Almost every terrorism news thread seems to eventually turn into a debate for and against conspiracy theories, so I added a post to the sticky thread for the News section that I hope everybody will read. Now there's no reason not to delete every post in there that is clearly intended to derail a thread from its original purpose.

Nobody has the right to constantly spam conspiracy theories all over the forum and force everyone to be bombarded with it in every current events discussion.

I'm sure you're right in many ways. I say this because in the course of history, governments have exploited the lives of many of their own citizens through false flag attacks. Do I think every tragic mass murder scenario is a false flag? No. But it's always a possibility to consider before demonizing all skeptics as traitorous conspiracy theorists.

 

ISIS was behind it. I was listening to the radio on my drive home this afternoon and Sean Hannity was ranting about the response which President Obama had to the attacks and I could not help but think...."How can you combat terrorism like that?" Conservative Republicans talk like you can fight ISIS like fighting the damned Nazis or something.....like "We are gonna paratroop in there and just kick their asses" and it just does not work like that with this shit! John Wayne won't work on these types. You are fighting a group who lives in the shadows.....they could be the waiter .....or the guy or girl next to you. They don't wear "uniforms".

 

Well.... Hannity is several screws loose anyways. Why listen to that shit?
