Would nudism help to control sex crimes?

To stop the violent and perverted sex crimes in the world, you must ban all religious teachings, as they pollute young children's minds with insane nonsense about sexuality, shame, guilt, virgins, monogamy, embarrassment, all sorts of madness which creates sexual repression, and the more sexually repressed a man is, the more perverted and violet his sexuality will be, priests practice celibacy which creates a severe sexual repression and they turn into child molesters.

I don't think it would make any difference. Not everybody has the nude body hidden from view. For example, nudists. They don't have any difference in sex crime rates that I've ever heard, whether more or less.

The nude body isn't really "hidden." It's exposed often, in the case of sexuality in the media. There's more to sexual arousal in that context than just nudity-there's body language, seductive language, a willingness to be sexually involved, etc. Those things will get you going even if somebody's fully clothed. You gotta remember that most people just don't look all that good without clothes. Most people use clothing to cover up things that could be taken care of with a lot of work with working out, dieting, etc. It's much easier to just buy clothes that don't show off your imperfections.

The association of nudity with sexuality is a learned behavior. Nudists and, for that matter, people who've been married for a long time, don't have sexual associations with just nudity anymore. The arousal comes about from other cues.

I suspect the only long term effect of people going nude would be fewer people going to Walmart.
