i don't know about anyone else but i love to go & pick berries. the taste so much better than the ones in the stores. it just seems so much better that it's from nature & not grown withl ike who knows what kinds of stuff. there are lots of different kinds of berries around my area. well i'd figured i'd share that with you just for the fun of it.
Yeah man, totally! I used to pick berries a few good years ago, blackberries to be exact, and I must say, they taste a Hell of a lot better off the plant than from the nasty, plastic carton. I don't know why ALL berries from the stores have to taste like Hell. It's pretty sad you can't even buy a good tasting berry anymore... they're always so damn sour. Eww.
huh? i dont get it..... but yeah, i like to pick raspberries and blueberries and strawberris, then eat them.
I have these cool little strawberry plants that grow at my house. They give little, "dwarf" strawberries that are super sweet; not that grotesque sour bullshit. I like to pick and eat those too.
i love picking blackberries and raspberries. they taste so much better than from the store. i've never gotten to pick strawberries
mmm....picked berries...haven't done that in forever...man, they were always so much better..I may have to do that sometime again
There's a cool old lady near here who will let you pick fresh strawberries on her farm for just a little $. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
We've got raspberry and blueberry bushes on the side of my house that give wonderful berries, but I was gone most of the time they were ripe this year. Sometimes the birds get them, but they usually wait until they fall off, and once or twice a dear has walked by and bittned them right off of the bushes. The great thing is that I can pick them when they're just the way I like them - a smidge under-ripe so they're a little sour. I can't stand fruit when it's over the hill on the way down, getting too sweet and squishy.
I love pickin berries.. As a matter of fact, my cousin and I went off and picked blackberries at my mom's wedding reception a couple weeks ago. So much fun....
I am originally from uspstate NY. Up there, they have wild blackberries and wild strawberries. Much smaller than the domestic/farmed ones but so much tastier!! Wild blackberries and some milk are a great breakfast!
Mmmm, that does sound pretty good! Especially if that milk is the fat free kind. I hate the thick 2% Fat stuff... tastes like cream or something.
...i wish i could pick berries...but they dont grow down here (that i know of) we pick oranges and dates around here. ive never had a berry straight off the plant before so the ones from the store taste pretty good to me. but id really like to try some.
yea, i live in northeast pa & man do we get berries. o by the way thatnks for replying it's nice to hear from people that do the same as i do. but yea, we get black berries, blueberries, huckleberries, rasberries, strawberries, june berries, & umm....well i'm sure there is 1 more but i can't think of the name....elder berries!!! that's it.. lol
yeah it is nice to pick berries i never realized how many people like to. i grow my own blackberries in my backyrad its nice to be albe to pick them when ever i get a little hungry (good for the munchies too) ~~peace and love~~
