Really, the thread is to discuss if people think the LEOs are giving special treatment because the occupiers at the refuge are white.

It's not even about whether the occupiers or their friends and family are racist.

 

Maybe you should have titled the tread accordingly then, instead of " opinions about racial dynamics..."

It's hardly my fault that you didn't bother to read the intention of the discussion in the opening post.

 

What if a group of armed African Americans took over a local circuit clerks office in response to harsh treatment of fellow African Americans, and demanded the release of several prisoners who they say have been unjustly arrested.

How long do you all think they would be inside the clerk's office before tear gas was administered, and bullets started flying? How do you think the press would characterize the group (as just idiots, or dangerous killers)? Do you think others would be allowed to casually join in?

I'm of the opinion that they wouldn't receive the same treatment as the militia.

I've read some really good opinions that are pretty much opposite of mine, but none have convinced me to see it their way.

 

I don't think these kind of people want help from black people. In their opinion blacks and Mexicans do nothing but take advantage of the goverment. But it has come out that most of these men don't have jobs and rely either on their wife's income or their disability check from the goverment. The very same goverment they are protesting. The goverment ran by the "dictator" Obama. If he were really that these men would already be dead. But I think Obama knows enough to understand that if he fights them it gives their movement credit. He just needs to ignore them and let them get sick of waiting. They expected to start a war that would overthrow the goverment and that is not happening. In America most people are laughing at them.
