I hope she has the same effect on trumps campaign as she did McCains.

Actually, I am a little concerned that trump will be the next president. There are enough ignorant people in this country who believes what he says, and will vote for him.

maybe trump is too smart to bring her in on his campaign......and maybe she won't hurt his campaign, if he does.....who knows....but if so, I will go bury my head in the sand again for however long they are in office.

Sarah made me disgusted with her for lots of reasons...the main one being her reality show about herself the first time around....hunting a big elk with her dad and laughing and talking like a ninny the whole time...killing it and acting like it was a joke...big bad ass woman....yeah, right....let me impress the hunters for the election. I can keep up with them. Was there anything I could do about that? no.

 

I work in healthcare and it is a pretty horrific thing to see how insurance companies, and of course the providers who contract with them, inflate costs. We all know they do it but seeing it on paper really makes you realize how absolutely fucked the American healthcare system is.

I'm a strong advocate for a single payer system but if that never gets passed I would be happy just seeing heavy regulations on healthcare costs. I do think overall a single payer system would be the most cost efficient system because it cuts out the middleman entirely.

Healthcare really should not be a profit motivated industry unless the profit is put directly back into medical research.

 

Something else is wrong(well-many, but--)---about a third of the commercials on TV are pushing drugs--"ask your doctor if_______ is for you." Then another third are lawyers begging people to call
them because they have been harmed by the drugs that were pushed on TV!

 

Well... It does make a lot of people a lot of money. ^^^

 

I've been thinking lately, a common argument I hear a lot for keeping drug costs high is the high price pays for research into new medication.

Which is fine if the medication is beneficial, but it seems like a lot of new drugs on the market are predated by older drugs that have been proven effective and with less side effects than the new drugs being pushed on the market. I don't really see the point of wasting money to develop new drugs when old drugs in the same classification work just fine

Maybe not all, but IMO life-saving pharmaceuticals should NOT be commodity, period.

It ought to be illegal ... some of these pharmaceutical CEOs ought be taken out back and shot between the eyes. They're sociopaths, and I don't know how they can even look at their sorry self in the mirror ... they are more than willing to let many people die in order to become wealthy.

These companies have too much market power, the negative consequences of drug prices that no one can afford on society is a negative externality ... basically they're doing economics completely wrong and if we don't do something about it corporate America will wreak the market completely. But of course they don't care, they will make out like the bandits that they are and say fuck the rest of us once they get theirs .. they're set for life, "who cares if the market crashes when I'm a billionaire!", they might say.

 

I fell like talking about Sarah Palin some more. After all these years I still don't get it. How does someone so vacant, so clueless, so lost in the ozone command so much influence? Are there that many morons in America? That would explain why Trump is kicking ass!

I agree with you. Prior to this latest Presidential campaign I thought and really believed it was just this ignorant area and state that I live in that was so bad. However, since Trump started on his campaign and has been so ridiculously successful, I've decided this nation is populated by absolute fools. Now it seems he has chosen the most vacuous, irresponsible person possible as his running mate (Palin).

She is currently blaming Obama for her son's PTSD which he got from driving politicos from point A to point B for a whole entire year. He chose the military after being caught cutting school bus brake lines and was given the choice of the military or jail. Not surprisingly he chose the military. Then we have the Palin daughter, who made $250,000 preaching Abstinence Only for birth control. She now has 2 babies from 2 different baby daddies, and is still not married. The entire clan got into a brawl not too long ago over some stupid shit.

So, yeah I agree with you.

 

Maybe there will be a hunting accident and she'll shoot her brains out.
