I believe having a predisposition for alcoholism (or addiction) is a real thing.

From what you said, I'm also surprised she lasted as long as she did. Usually alcohol kills women years faster than men.

Lord knows I enjoy getting high as much as anybody...but alcoholism/truly and seriously getting wasted on alcohol on a regular basis is another animal altogether, imo. The alcoholics I've known were broken before they let alcohol take #1 place in their lives.
