I suppose that's one way to shine a positive light on that psycho.

I enjoyed this, but felt strangely violated.

Yesterday, George W. Bush made his first political speech since leaving office seven years ago. I still hate him, but I liked the speech. It was entertaining, and he did a great job of blasting the hell out of Donald Trump. I doubt that it will convince anyone to vote for Jeb.

I hate to admit it, but I agree with all of Trump's comments about George W. Bush and 9-11 and Iraq. Jeb should have left his brother out of this.

I'd like to pour one over his head.

He's looking more like his dad, but with more of a receding hairline.

It's been nice to go so long without seeing him. Wish I could say the same about Dick Cheney.

Bill Clinton has aged a lot too, but I guess it doesn't impact us so much because we've watched it happen gradually, seeing him on TV several times every year. He used to be so positive. I never thought he would turn into a grouchy old man.

Yup, said he lost IA, NH and now SC, throwing in the towel! Has no balls anyway!

Bush only got 8% in SC, barely good enough for fourth place. He was counting on that Nikki Haley endorsement that went to Rubio.

In today's public appearances, Rubio and Haley looked like a married couple. Rumor mill says he cut her a deal for VP running mate to get that endorsement. I'm inclined to believe it. She very badly wanted to get that offer from somebody, after the media talked up her potential so much.

Now, the remaining five shift their attention to the Super Tuesday states, the March 1 primaries.

I have a theory that to be a woman and popular in the Republican camp, you have to have one of either two things:

    1. Pretty enough looks for what they rationalize as "public relations imagery".

    And / Or

    2. A loud mouth, stir-pot, shock-jock, position taker with a brain, on issues that they need to debate hotly and passionately to vent their anger.

I don't know if it's true, but that's the vibe I get when it comes to women Republican figures in the news media personalities or politicians.

Looking into the details of SC results, I was surprised to see that Cruz placed second in the state without winning a single county. Rubio won the counties that contain the cities of Columbia and Charleston, Trump got all the others, including the Greenville area. So, the three largest cities were not unified in their thinking.

    Greenville is a strange bird.

I commute one city over to Spartanburg for work and just based on my coworkers as a sample representation of the average SC republican I wasn't really surprised SC went Trump. They're all pretty apolitical and uninformed and they're voting based on the sound bites they heard on tv.

Greenvillians (heh) tend to be better educated than surrounding counties, it's actually like night and day going from Greenville to Spartanburg, and they also have a reputation of being very religiously conservative - I figured based on these two factors they would swing towards Cruz.

So, do we think Trump will go on to be the Republican nominee? SC's primary seems to predict, witch a fair amount of accuracy, who gets the to be on the ticket. This is sort of like a joke that won't end and stopped being funny a while ago.

I'm scrolling through the Wikipedia article that cites the political affiliation of every US president, and I can't find a single instance of Democrat being elected after another Democrat left office since Pierce and Buchanan in the 1850'/60's. All other exceptions are those where the president was assassinated or died in office (JFK and FDR).

So, do you think a Democrat has a chance at winning this time? I hope so, but it's a pretty long precedent that they would have to overcome.

Okay, that's flipped again, as it did several times last night. Cruz was up by a thousand votes with 98% reporting, now he's down by a thousand with 99% reporting, which means it could flip again when it gets to 100%. The county breakdown is still the same.

Chuck Todd says no Republican has ever lost the nomination after winning both New Hampshire and SC. But... Trump is a unique case, and we're in the internet era, so anything could happen.

Yikes! You could have talked all day and not said that.

Who usually follows a black president? :D

I think you are correct in that analysis. Keep in mind that Anne Coulter is very popular with the Tea Party Republicans. She has an Adams Apple THAT BOBS when she speaks. I have several friends who have told me if a guy gets his weanie snipped off, along with his huevos, and have fake boobs installed, and really look like a natural woman, you can always tell when the Adams Apple Bobs! So, there is a strong chance that Anne Coulter is a transgender woman. Having said that, now it seems a lot of Republican guys are attracted to transgender women. So, you might want to add a third catagory to your theory.
