hubby's grandma just called to tell him shes dying. hes a wreck, and on his way to work. i have to figure out a way to get us to arizona, basically leaving on friday. probably cheapest to fly, but impractical (would either have to drag carseat around, or buy one when we get there, no thanks) so we need to find a way to drive. i need to re-up my permit. i guess i will be an awesome driver after making a 12+ hour road trip. fuck. this sucks all around. we are going to end up falling back on the credit card we just paid off with the tax return.

 

get him to tell her he cant afford the trip...maybe she will offer to pay it

 

the rest of the family is very VERY "gimme gimme money" hubby is the only one who does not ask her for handouts. he called his aunt, who is saying "shes in and out" (yet she was able to make a phone call) and "theres no where for you to stay" (because she, and another aunt at least have houses out there, but apparently dont have enough floor space for a cot or a playpen)

they, the aunt/ uncle generation, hate him. because his grandparents mostly raised him, and they ALL see him as the favorite. they seriously are trying to keep him from going, and i guarantee its so that they can lord it over him. im so mad about that side of his family. he didnt ask for his mom to be a drug addict. ugh. i hate them. but i will get him down there somehow.

theres a KOA campground. it will be about $300 for the week. not terrible. hes looking at renting a camper, but i think thats ridiculous. we dont need a kitchenette, we just need places to sleep. we have a tent, and can get another, in fact i think my parents still have the big one.
i will find a way. no one even told him when his grandpa got sick. there was never a chance to go see him.

 

i hold my tongue and opinions are kept to myself for his benefit. he knows it. im glad he knows it. because one day he will call me in for back-up, and quiet little me is going to go supernova.
at his moms funeral, the aunt he called today, almost made me say something. i did not particularly care for my MiL, but i have the decency not to talk bad about her at her funeral. like, her eulogy was about how MiL made bad choices and was sinful. i was so pissed. the preacher expressed shock that so many people turned up. like "wow, we didnt expect so many people to mourn this 'undesireable'"

supernova. i make a choice not to make waves. i am calculated. but i dont forget, and i can see their games. its not going to be pretty. i will burn all the bridges. im an outsider. let them hate me. but it bothers the shit out of me that they act so petty.

t'other....its funny because buddy always forgets to use his winch to get out of tricky situations on the atv....i';m constantly
telling him just hook up to the tree and drag it through etc

then i had to get up at 4am to get home so we stayed up and watched a wack of movies

funniest line of the night was from nick nolte talking to

I have a .75lt horn with a Irminsul pendant. It is this.



It comes to parties every now and again but as I hang her by my right side I'm always afraid I'll sit on it and break it. It's capped off with bees wax etc. actually, horns from this site are fantastic. takes a few weeks to kill the cattle smell, I clean my horn with denture cleaning tablets.

 

I'll definitely be seeing Amon Amarth and hopefully Fear Factory when they're touring. Will see what shows Asmo might be interested in and then see if the miss will let me go out with him to a show. she'll probably be the third wheel.

my dog wouldnt come in the house for boarder when i went away sunday night.....he was out all night and when i came home he had a puncture...not quite through his cheek but nealy/.....cant tell for sure but its either a fang mark or a pellet mark...had to

play vet and clean it up....he let me clean it with sterile pads without so much as a wince

I don't know about airlines down there, but the airlines in Canada allow you to check a carseat and stroller at the gate at no charge (they also allow you to check a playpen in place of either of those).

My sister's genius boyfriend needed to loose some weight for a UFC fight. So he went 4 days without food and 24 hours without any liquid. He had to go to the emergency room. I almost joined the wrestling team in high school but I didn't because stuff like this is the norm. Always putting yourself though something to loose a few pounds at the last second. But now he can't even fight he's in trouble with the people who oversee it. Sometimes I think this guy has been punched in the face a few too many times.
