As far as dream destinations, I have yet to see Greece. I don't really feel like venturing into the Middle East until things settle down there more. I haven't been to the Amazon yet. I would love to visit Chichen Itza. Scotland and Ireland. Go deeper into Central Europe. Yap, Tahiti, and some of the other islands in the South Pacific I haven't seen yet. Australia and New Zealand. Our next trip is to the Carribean and we haven't been there yet----on a cruise ship----which will be our first time to do that too.

The problem is I love to go back to the places I have already been to---such as London and Southern Europe. We can never spend just a month in the Philippines. We haven't been back to Japan for years, and we certainly need to go on a shopping trip there. We love to relax in Hawaii. We have fun in LA and Las Vegas----and they both are the closest locations of my favorite Philippine restaurant (Max's) (even though here in the US they do not sell roasted blue marlin steaks (and not even a green mango shake!), or have the atmosphere of my favorite Max's, which looks out over Manila bay and every sunset is a brilliant show as the sun sets somewhere near or behind Corregidor Island in the distance, while cargo ships wait out in the bay, or unload their cargo in the nearby Manila Port). Then there are the various hot springs in the mountains of Colorado which we often spend a week end or a week soaking in.

If I could fix one thing (ha) I'd pick this whole yard of 2.78 acres. I finally got the driveway raked and it about killed me. When I should have been raking, it was raining and raining and raining. I'll rake a little more in certain areas but I've already decided I'm mowing over the leaves and everything else for the most part.

My dream place(s) to visit are Brazil and Pakistan. I've been studying where some of the best rocks, crystals and such are and those 2 places really stand out. I want to go rock hunting where I KNOW some good stuff will be. :D Aside from that one of my finest arrowheads that is etched with what look like eyes was found in my yard, about 10 yards from where I'm typing.

I'd also like to visit Scotland and Ireland just because. I want to river dance BAD, and I'm thinking just being there it might rub off on me. ;) (This is a dream.)

If I could fix one thing it would be my health. I'd take about ten years off.

Hi, Kenny....Woke up thinking of Allen Ginsberg and The Howl. Had a dream two nights ago. I opened my door only to have a huge, massive, bigger than reality grey wolf staring me down and growling at me.....Wolf at the door. I made a painting of a wolf at the door once. Seems there is always some wolf at the door in life, isn't there....?

Other animal news for me, is one of my cats brought in a snake yesterday....and i think it was a garter snake. It wasn't too big....I tried to catch it in two plates with Stan yelling be careful and making me scarder and more nervous than I usually am around snakes, so i dropped the thing , and I almost had it outside at that point, but the snake was fast, and went under the step from the small room to the kitchen, so now I have a snake living in the house somewhere. great! wolves and snakes......lol

What do you want to talk about? Your drink looks good.

    Moonglow181,

When I was 19, I went camping with my room mate and his brother in the back country climbing over Mt.Whitney in the Sierras. I had gone out for a 4 hour hike by myself and was headed back to the camp site. as the Sun was getting really low through the trees. Suddenly there was a howl in the distance. Human instinct is like a glass of ice water from the bottom of your spine up to your neck.

    More story later.
    If requested. LOL

You do make some beautiful Pina Coladas ! Thanks

Thanks for the Ginsberg. That was fun.

Ok, I brought a $350 bottle of 1994 Port from my wine cellar. It was one of the best years for Port in some time (and the birthdate of my son).

I love that----so Dionysian------which is why I believe we Hippies were truly Nietzsche's ubermensch (superman).

The wolf is my spirit animal. That kind of an experience makes me think that it might be yours too. Was the wolf trying to tell you something? Is there athreat in your life? Or something to be aware of? A dream of one is no guarantee that it is---there could be any number of subconscious messages there-----but nonetheless, that is still a possibility----especially if it is a recurring theme.

In my case I had no idea that it was the wolf, In fact, I had no interest in the wolf or any other connection to it that I knew of (so don't believe that New Age crap where they say, 'What is your favorite animal? It could be your favorite animal, mind you, but there would have to be more to it than that.) However when I met my wolf, I felt an immediate connection and realized that there had always been one that I wasn't aware of.

My wife hates snakes. but they always come to her in her dreams and warn her of people about to do bad to her.

yes, please do, tell us all of the stories you can......I will sit and listen quietly....You have a gift of that....writing about your life. :)

I have not seen the snake. I hope it is ok. i read they eat worms and slugs, but there are none of those in this house.

You don't have to sit quietly. You can be as rowdy as you want too. I wouldn't care.

Anyhow I was waking south down a clear and well used southbound path in some tall woods and the Sun was low on my right or the west. It was like a wide green room slowly becoming dimmer. The howl that went off was about a half mile or more behind me. But that's only about five or six blocks away. And dogs are fast at only a trot. And can get faster. Like I say, when you hear it it is like no other. You find out real quick that we all have inherited ancient recorded ancestral memory DNA, and it jumped from the DNA into my mine as though I was that exact caveman ancestor who knew that memory. I just about freaked. I checked myself because I know that your sweat will be added to with a fear smell, and dogs can smell things a mile away or more if the wind is still. Which it was.

Most tracks in the woods or paths are also deer trails. I realized that the wolf was on that. His regular evening dinner gig. Everyday. And I didn't see any deer anywhere near me. I hadn't seen any the whole four or more hours that I was hiking around. I had really almost died about 25 minutes earlier at a cliff at Kings Canyon. Look it UP. And I really shouldn't have made it out of that one alive. Miracle. Yet, that's a whole other story.

As I walked south with my small day pack I suddenly heard a second Howl, over my left shoulder. Wow! Keep Calm. No adrenalin in my sweat. Just walk. Think calm. Step. Easy.

The sound of the howl was like someone had put a dentist's drill inside of the base of my spine and pulled the trigger. Like, Vreeeeeeeee. But inside of your spine in the middle. It's a very cold explosion that shoots right up your back, to the back of your neck, Then freaks out your brain.

Then the first wolf howled. Straight back behind me. All still at a distance. I walked. Then howl. Off behind me to my right. Oh Boy! Breath deep. Stay calm. I just walked.

Howl, from the center wolf. Still at a far distance.

    MORE LATER.
